I have'nt had my wisdom teeth come in yet but they're pretty close, especially on the bottom right. If I tell my doc it really hurts to eat, is there any chance I can at least get codeine or something? Or will he just tell me to put lidocaine or whatever on my gums?

Exactly, I'm not trying to scam doctors, I just don't want to visit him for nothing and pay him like $50 just to tell me rub some lidocaine on my gums.

Can't really speculate on what your doctor/dentist may or may not do. Go and see him and see what happens. If he decides you need opiates then you may well get them, if not then there is probably a medical reason for that.

Don't try and scam the doctors/dentists, you will get red flagged. We are not here to help you either. Just be honest. If you need your teeth taken out they will do so, if not they wont. If you are in pain, go see someone, if not then don't.

Yeah I swear I'm not trying to scam it was purely curiosity if he will give me opiates or not, and by the way it really actually hurts.

Depending on where you live, they'll give you Tec 3s, but I've heard that in U.S they give you vicodin. Hope this helps.

you want opiates before the surgery? well if you are having problematic pain, i suggest you contact your doc about it. we cannot/won't speculate about his/her prescribing practices.

edit:
ha. we felt the same way on this one, purple cloud.
