Can you get high on buprenorphine if you're already on a script?

I can't seem to find the right answer to my question anywhere. I know people on a methadone script can get high on an increased dose of methadone but that is a full agonist. What I want to know is can people on a low dose of buprenorphine get high on an increased dose? My friend is on 8ml, he takes 16ml and he says he gets high. Can anyone shed some light on this? People who are/have been on a script.

There is a so called high on Bupe but its nothing like common opiate high.Its more like a "rush" so to speak,compared to a very weak cocaine sort of high.

But no,i dont think dosage plays massive part in this,at the beginning of your Sub use youll prolly get that either on 4mgs,8mgs or whatever.

As time goes by and you are clean of all other real opiates and you get used to the Subs,that feeling sorta gets weaker and weaker(in some cases it goes away completely,and an increased dose of 16mgs or higher will just keep the WDs away for longer and just serve as a massive opiate blocker.


Now,there are people who snort their bupe or even shoot it(and claim that the effects are greatly increased),but i havent tried either(although im soon gonna try to snort 2mgs out of my 8mg daily dose) so i cant really have an opinion about those ROA yet.

Thanks for your reply. I used to snort mine & to be honest the only high I recognised is like you said more of a stimulating one.

Ive never met anyone who didnt get high on subs. I IVed 8-16mg a day for 9 months and it never lost its magic. The high was very dose dependant IMO. Little shots gave me stimulation and larger ones had me nodding all over.

I have very little experience with oral/sublingual and little experience snorting bupe though.
