Can you die from Mirtazapine withdrawal?

So yall know whats going on. I've been taking Mirtazapine for a while for its off-label treatment of sleep. Specifically, I been on it for a year. I been taking it every day. I was originally on it because I had trouble sleeping but the thing is, mirtazapine makes your insomnia worse. What I want to know is, can you die from mirtazapine withdrawal? I'm about to run out of supply soon and although my doctor gave me a refill, my insurance is not covering it. I tried to go a few days without it and it was really brutal.

Well can you taper? Ive been on it for 10 years and found its very easy to taper with no symptoms at all. No zaps or anything. Doses low as 7.5mg help with sleep, too high doses dont.

Just my experience though.
