Hey guys I know this is the wrong section to be posting this in buy I don't really care I have a question that I really need answered... I few months ago I was hospitalized and was forced to take a drug called invega sustenna.. the side effects are horrendous and the worst part is I have another injection due for march the 18t.. what happens if I skip that.. will I be hospitalized again..

btw im not a danger to myself or to anyone else but the doc does think im phscotic so is that enough for him to have me involuntarily commited and medicated

Short answer, yes. If they commit you, they can get an order that allows forced medication. This question is borderline legal discussion, which is not allowed on BL.

If you do not want to take another dose of this medication, get a lawyer and fight the commitment and forced medication.

Really depends on whether or not you're court ordered to get the shots or you're a minor. If either of those apply to you, you will basically get dragged in whether you like it or not.

Doctors don't just pick random people off the street and shoot them full of long acting antipsychotics: you generally have to have what they consider "poor medication compliance" aka not taking your pills as directed. You may not be a danger to yourself or others while you're on medication (that's sort of the point) but that means very little for how you'll act when the meds wear off.

If you've tried to kill yourself previously with a medication overdose... that's considered being a threat to yourself, by the way.

If you're not currently court-ordered (where i'm at they call it probated) as a ward of the state, you don't have to take meds.
also i assume youre over the age of 18.
If you get hospitalized again you'll have to take meds to get out, otherwise they'll usually ward you for refusal of medication. but as soon as you are released, you can stop taking your meds or getting your injections. Nobody's stopping you
You post a lot about invega i'd recommend finding a new med because you seem to hate it
