as some of you know i have alot of plans. i want to be a neuroscientist. but i want a side profession; adminstrating my own hemp industry and medicine organization. i plan upon getting into both fields; but i wanted to ask some people around here what sort of colleges should i look into? and what programs/classes would i need to get into both fields of professional neuroscience and into hemp industry/medicine/business adminstating. what colleges would you guys reccomend? and btw as a neuroscientist i hope to study psychedelics and various focal points of studying psycedelics (i.e. ayahuasca's effects on an autistic individual, LSA's effects on social addictions like videogames and porn) and a variety of neurological topics; ranging from dimentia and mental health all the way down to ASD and APD/social anxiety.

i want to basically start off as a neuroscientist; which should make alot of money and i would love the job passionately. but as i get money i hope to invest into hemp industry, hemp medicine, and recreational cannabis business.

i hope to get into the business of manufacturing oil, plastic, paper, building material, cloth, fabric, and textiles, food (hemp seed/grain), and anything that i could manufacture with the hemp plant. i also plan on my hemp business to sell medicinal cannabis; specializing in strains used for treating epilepsy and dimentia; with dimentia being the focul point (CBD is the chemical i'm talking of) and also studying thc.

i also want to invest in a franchise cannabis cafe, library, and erowid center (i hope to ask erowid to partner up with me and i hope for each franchise there will be a community projects section, a library section, a cannabis coffee shop section, an erowid center, and a democracy room; basically a place with constantly updated unbiased news and other stuff like that. if i hope to achieve these goals where in life should i go? what college would some of you reccomend? and what classes should i take to get credentials for a lifetime of neurology and hemp.

i'm considering moving to colorado to get community college out of the way; then i hope to study the needed areas to become a neuroscientist; after making enough money from neuroscience i can invest in a business in hemp. what's your guys's opinions on this as well as insights, reality advice(s), and points/debates that you can make to help give me advice. i'm just looking into different things.

if someone really wants to be generously helpful; can you provide informational links to different community colleges and other universities that would support my two main interests: neuroscience and hemp. i need a community college and a university. the more the better. thank you if you were one of those that helped provide links and feedback.

just say know to drugs. especially hemp industry!

My honest opinion is that you could use some structured guidance.

Neuroscience; as a researcher, surgeon? Figure on 10 years of school at least (at the university level). As a researcher you're not gonna get rich. More than likely you'll fall into the all too common academic trap of publish or perish. However, some good foundationdal work gets done this way.

Hemp industry; well, you could start with either an agricultural degree, one in plant science or perhaps industrial microbiology.

As far as administrating your own 'industry', well you better head off to a management faculty and concentrate on getting a business degree.

Grants? Well, first you have to graduate, probably do at least a 2 year stint as a post doc, apply for and fail in several grant applications, finally succeed in one application and then you can apply to some research institute as an assistant or associate prof.

In 30 years I've been in nutritional science, agricultural science, pharmacology, biochemsitry, microbiology and organic chemistry.

Again, my honest advice is to get some structured guidance.

Thanks Tom! currently i'm looking for that guidance and am getting various opinions. thank you for giving me the advice needed for a reality check; i am rethinking my financial plans; i may go into tech instead; computer networking to be specific. i will also go into agriculture and a Business degree. i plan on eventually going into neuroscience; but need to have a good supporting job beforehand; so i may go into computer networking. i have many interests into different sciences. and i hope to go into most of them if i can or at least study them.

thank you again; it helps out to get feedback and critical advice.

I somehow screwed up a reply and lost a response, and will post a more complete reply before the next mid season start of The walking dead.

But very quickly; it will take 9-12 years to get to the position you describe. Biological and Physical Sciences will sometimes appear advance slowly.
