So lately i've been rolling with my friends on the weekends. Just on the weekends, and one of my friends that doesn't roll says im starting to look different.

I've taken like 12ish tabs in the past month...

I dont see it, if anything i feel like i look better...

Discuss?

thats what i thought, i was like what the fuck? my face changed from rolling once a weekend

The recommended usage of MDMA is once a month at a maximum- maximum. That's the time period that most research suggests it takes for full regeneration of serotonin, some even indicates 2-3 months. I used to roll every weekend- it will really catch up to you =( Be safe- I wish I could go back in time and educate myself.

you're probably a bit dark under the eyes from lack of rest on the weekends. The same would happen if you had been binge drinking or simply studying though, I wouldn't blame it on E.

thats what i was thinking, because every weekend i've gotten no sleep rolled and worked.
Nice to see someone else from dallas, lizard lounge and insomnia have been keeping me busy!

yea i think 12 in a year is a lot, nevermind a month.. i also use to abuse mdma and roll every week but 12 in a month still seems like a shitload to me.

as for your physical appearance, any drug you abuse will take a toll on your overall health and demeanor.

some of my friends are taking 15 a weekend. but honestly they dont look much different

as for your physical appearance, any drug you abuse will take a toll on your overall health and demeanor. i would suggest cutting back your mdma use drastically for a while and balancing it out with healthy activities such as exercise and proper diet. if it has affected your appearance, im sure its nothing you cant recover from.

I'm fine man, i don't have any weird ass side effects i keep reading about here.
I think its a mind thing with most people

Robby- I didn't suffer any noticeable ill effects until month 6-8. I know you might feel like you're different or that it's a mental/anxiety thing- but depleted brain chemicals and damaged neurons are a real real thing. I do hope you'll take this advice from me and the thousands of others who will tell you the same thing on this board, rather than keep doing more MDMA than recommended until you do suffer. You'll notice a ton of posts about "loss of magic" and reflections on the first few times a person rolls- magic is lost due to abusing MDMA. Meaning, you are likely heading down a path where you are setting yourself to reach a point very soon where you won't be able to roll the same. It sounds like it's not a big deal- but it will be when you can remember how great MDMA was, but know you just can't "get there" anymore. I really really think you should consider limiting your use and making it a special occasion thing.

Once you decide that you are going to stop using ecstasy for a long time you'll start to notice the side effects....trust me I lost about 15 pounds during my summer binge, I cant say that I look different because I havnt noticed at all but I mean its 15 pounds....idk? you should really take a couple months off or else your going to have some bad side effects.
I rolled about 10 times in 3 months and my short term memory is pretty bad...my appetite isnt quite exactly the same. reading out loud can be difficult for me and it wasnt in the past, just a few of my side effects but theres tons lol aside from the brain zaps too..

We're only here to provide advice. :) You're ultimately in charge of (and responsible for) the choices you make.

That said, most people go into it with the same mentality that you do: they don't notice any immediate effects, so they continue to use frequently. You may be one of the lucky few who can keep this up for a long time without obvious problems, but the majority of people experience side effects within a few months of frequent use (obviously, the more frequent and heavy the use, the quicker and more extreme the negative side effects). MDMA causes real, physiological changes in the brain...yes, some people are more resilient than others and can soldier on for a longer time, but the fact remains that your mood is somewhat influenced by your brain chemistry. It's not just psychological.

We warn people to limit the frequency of their rolling only so that they can know to curb their use while they're ahead, rather than ending up months down the road taking ten pills a night that do next to nothing for them while suffering from a variety of mental and emotional problems. :\

Back on topic: I think chronic fatigue and weight loss are the most obvious signs of use. Even with drugs like meth, these are the most visible causes...the scabs, etc. typical of heavy meth users are mostly self-inflicted. The idea that drugs magically make you look different is a myth, along the lines of the old "if you keep making that face it'll stick that way" adage.

Thanks, this site has already been a big help for me. I can't wait to go and enlighten some of my friends on the shit i've learned today.

As of right now i feel like ecstasy has made me a better person. Everytime i've taken a tab so far i come off of it feeling completely new and look at life differently (in a good way)

thanks guys once again i appreciate your comments.

I already have plans on not taking another tab until a major dj comes to dallas, which will be Halloween.. after rusko this weekend

Awesome. :) If you want to make that benefit permanent, hold on to those realizations, think them through, and be sure to practice putting them into effect in your everyday life. One thing that I've noticed is that people who initially have a positive reaction to ecstasy (like how you're describing) start to feel this way less and less with each use. Eventually, they come to see it as just another drug experience, and in some cases think of the realizations they came to those first times as "fake", drug-induced fantasies.

Ecstasy can be really eye-opening, but it's up to you to keep your eyes open after the fact. :) Just my two cents, and sorry if I'm overwhelming you with advice. 8)

to be honest im already having some of those effects, a month ago i looked at ecstasy as a drug thats harmful but fun so i shouldnt do it often, now it's been a weekend thing.

I do have some self control though, smoke on the weekdays, do the hard shit on the weekends lol
