I am prone to anxiety and thus wish to get rid of this curse that I have inherited, will shrooms be ideal? If so, microdosing or a big dose?

I am aware of the basics to trip with a sitter, I just want to know if shrooms can help tremendously, with personal experiences being welcomed. I don't have severe anxiety or anything, but it gets in the way and is often present when socializing, although without any influence via negative thoughts or whatever, I will get anxiety no matter what even if I'm feeling the moment, my dad suffered a lot with anxiety and I guess I got it from him.

I just wanna end this and be normal, I have already had some spiritual mild ego death experiences but nothing big to stick with me, and to permanently affect the overactive amygdala as the studies suggest.

Not permanently, but it does have the ability to have a lasting positive impact on conditions like anxiety or depression.

Isn't the reason why it isn't permanent because how users get back to their previous mental state, their ego?

I am also curious about the studies that point out how psilocybin lowers amygdala activity, is it through a spiritual awakening, an ego death experience or through some other factor unrelated to it?

I like to think of psilocybin as Drano...over time the "pipes" in your brain get clogged with residual negativity, stress, anxiety, self-destructive thought patterns etc. that accumulate over the course of your day-to-day life, and a nice strong dose of a psychedelic hallucinogen has the power to burn that shit out of there and leaves you feeling fresh and renewed ;)

There are a number of interesting scientific/neurological reports regarding psilocybin's activity in the brain and potential applications of the drug to treat conditions like OCD etc. It's a great drug and one of my favorites, in fact my avatar is a psilocybin molecule

Psychedelics will give you a better understanding of allowing anxiety to pass as it isn't actually who you are; it is an activation of survival mechanisms that are actually rather useful and designed to help keep you alive in a more "traditional" human surival situation. Psychedelics have helped me recognize anxiety more easily and just let it go as quickly as I can rather than feed those waves of impending doom. Exercise is also a big part of feeling ok more often with stressful or anxiety inducing situations, but I've found psychedelics to increase my appreciation and desire to engage in physical activities so it kinda all just comes together I suppose. Your experiences may vary.
