Can Piperazines minimize MDMA effects?

I recently took a piperazine pill. I don´t know which piperazine specifically, It might be mcPP or BZP.. I really don´t know. I didn´t felt much of it, just a lil bit more talkative. I also notice the colours were a little bit hotter. That was about an hour after I took the pill. I also did a few doses of whisky a few hours earlier (I wasn´t weasted but still kind of drunk).

So, after an hour or so I was no more than more talkative. Like the very first mdma effects, but It didn´t go further. Then I decided to I take an MDMA pill (a strong one). The strage thing is, knowing the pill, I expected to feel more “smacky”. I mean, felt the empathy and grear mood, but that intense happy felling wasn´t there. A few hours later, when those minimized mdma effects had passed away, I took another mdma pill (the same as the first one). That second time the pill hit hard, I was rolling my balls off, BUT still didn´t feelling that happy, lovely thing I was used to. So strange, because I didn´t had taken any pills in about a month, and I know those pills very well – they are top quality.

I was wondering if it has something to do with the piperzine.

Asides from that, it sounds like you were anticipating the MDMA too much. In my experience you just need to let the drug work it's magic as opposed to having specific expectations.

mmm....I could imagine particular piperazines binding to various monoamine transporters (especially SERT), 'kicking off' the MDMA but failing to cause as great monoamine release, a la coke. This is plausible, given that various piperazines are direct agonists, varying from weak to moderate, at various 5ht sites.

In sum, maybe.

Asides from that, it sounds like you were anticipating the MDMA too much. In my experience you just need to let the drug work it's magic as opposed to having specific expectations.

1) Because, I was curious about Piperazines.
2) YES, I test ALL my pills. Thats how i knew it was a piperazine
3) I didn´t antecipated the effects on the first mdma pill. I was talking to my friends, listening to music, and enjoying it so much that i almost forgot about it. When i did the SECOND mdma pill, i was expecting the effects. But when i felt the come up, i just let it go. Eighter both times, however, i felt the love and empathy i was used to feel with mdma. I really dont think that expectations were the problem here, because it was one the best roll parties i had in my life. Thanks, thats exactly what i was thinking. Too bad that i took both pills at the same night.

Ok, sorry I follow you now! I think you guys are right- especially regarding the agonist properties over 5-htp receptors.

Another factor may have been the timing. Pipes seem to have delayed onset and the agonist properties last for a longer duration (compared to mdma).

Not really. But i cant tell for sure, since I don´t find any comedown too harsh in about a year. I guess im just used to it. Also, I don´t know about sleeping, since I always take a hypnotic such as midazolam (just in case).

But I did have a freaking headache the next day, which I never had before in my ecstasy experiences.

That's interesting, it seems like the piperazine interfered with the MDMA action.

It's unfortunate. Good post though, there's not much information about the drug interactions, but you're experience seems to indicate it does diminish the magic.

The same exact thing happened to me last weekend. Took some pipes, felt kind of shitty and kind of ok in waves until I found some awesome molly to mask the pipes. Felt exactly as you described. Rolled hard, but there was something missing, and I attributed it the MDMA battling the pipes.

Yes they can and very easily - they can often make the user feel paranoid, sick, very self concious of themselves and their surrounding - so if a user is already rolling then the mood can quickly change.

^^^ The crappy part was that the pipes were taken accidentally and I was so uncomfortable I wanted the MDMA to mask it as quickly as I could get it. It did it's job, but there was something missing from the rolling experience and an edge to it that was only borderline uncomfortable because the molly was so good. Thank goodness I have a little left so I can enjoy it as it was intended to be enjoyed some day in the future.
