Bupe Can Naltrexone 10mg-50mg flush remaining bup from receptors & help PAWS

I have been hearing a lot about Naltrexone speeding up withdrawals as well as PAWS, am wondering has anybody else tried this method?...

What about using Nal in 20mg, 15mg etc doses to help with PAWS and flush all the remaining suboxone or subutex from the receptors?

I did lick a spec of a 50mg Naltrexone some time ago while on bup (still am) and it helped with Endorphins, so am wondering can once if or when I reach PAWS when quitting sub would I be able to use Naltrexone to flush any remaining bup from my receptors?

"Flushing bupe from receptors" doesn't make any sense - buprenorphine has a higher affinity than naltrexone & does not bind permanently.

The real concern is your body's fat reserves accumulating buprenorphine and norbuprenorphine and thereby creating a reservoir of drug that remains active in you, even after discontinuing use.

Somewhat unfortunately there is no easy way to "flush" bupe or other metabolites out of your body aside from the obvious (excercise, time).

Ive read 3 cases this week alone where suboxone patients detoxed using the rapid detox method, and claimed they suffered minimum PAWS ,and these detoxes were fro high doses of sub, whereas am only 0.35 so far, so if it can help those patients I think it will help once I have been off the sub for few weeks.

I don't see how that could be unless the dosages used of antagonist drugs were off the charts. To reverse a bupe OD (as rare as they are) it takes roughly 10x the normal narcan dose. As Sekio said, bupe has a higher affinity for your receptors than naloxone or naltrexone. It would have to be a very large dose of antagonism to rip bupe off your receptors.

I understand, but what am saying is I am only on a low dose, micrograms, and other folks who used the rapid detox method were on higher doses around the same length of time I am, and they all claimed it was not actually too bad in terms of withdrawals and PAWS. There must be something to Naltrexone speed up PAWS and recovery time.

It would not open.

I am curious that since Naltrexone is used in rapid detoxes and many people claim it helped them get off subs then why not use Naltrexone few weeks or a month after quitting bup? surely it has some beneficiary qualities?

Isn't there any possibility that using small amounts of Nal 25mg or even lower can clear some of the bup from the receptors?

The cause of opioid withdrawals is not buprenorphine being "stuck" in receptors. If anything, administering naltrexone would make you feel worse, as it would reduce the natural efficacy of your body's endorphins. IIf you had enough bupe in your system, and you took a large enough dose of naltrexone, it may even precipitate withdrawal.

This small series of case reports illustrates a significantly faster and well tolerated method for a relatively rapid detoxification from high-dose methadone as compared to traditional methadone detoxification regimens. After inducing a withdrawal state using oral naltrexone, the patients were quickly “rescued” with buprenorphine (a combination of buprenorphine/naloxone). By administering a medication that attenuates withdrawal symptoms, patients immediately began to feel better and were better able to invest themselves in the overall treatment. The patients were then able to taper off opioids in a matter of days with minimal discomfort. The average length of stay was seven days, and no patients left before completing the program.

That article basically claims that the reason naloxone/naltrexone makes the detox more effective is because it makes sure you feel as shitty as possible, all at once, so you can only get better.

I am curious that since Naltrexone is used in rapid detoxes and many people claim it helped them get off subs

You may want to do more research into this. Generally "rapid detox" with naloxone/naltrexone has a very very low success rate, because it doesn't actually cure any of the psychological addiction to opioids. Even if you get off subs in the short run, many people end up relapsing in 3-6 months.

Google low dose naltexone (LDN) or even Ultral low dose (ULDN). You will find the benefits from those searches, be aware a lot of it is conjecture.

From what I remember, naltrexone blocks your endorphins which might cause either a build up of endorphins or a lower tolerance for natural endorphins. Thus lifting your mood when the naltrexone has warn off. I remember reading of many people doseing the naltrexone before bed and feeling better during the day.

My research was done in January so please take it with a grain of salt and read for yourself!

Well I still thinking of taking something like 12mg or 25mg of Naltrexone when am a few weeks after stopping sub, surely Naltrexone can knock off much of the bup from the receptors, even though I understand there will be withdrawals (PW) but in my case I would be coming off 0.25mg of subs, even lower perhaps, so am guessing Naltrexone can help somewhat.

You are missing two things here...
1. Drugs do not bind and stay bound to receptors indefinitely, the binding is a transient thing, it only happens for a short while and then the drug is released.
2. Naltrexone won't displace buprenorphine from receptors; buprenorphine has a higher affinity.

Not saying taking naltrexone won't help, but it's not "kicking bupe off your receptors".

Is there any evidence bup has higher affinity? my doctor said naltrexone is stronger in the sense it can knock out the bup, hence why many who have taken Naltrexone claim to feel mentally clear the next days, even when using it for sub detox...It can take couple of months to feel mentally you aren't on bup so if Naltrexone can clear the bup from the receptors in the space of few days isn't it a better shout then waiting months and months? after all this is what they use in rapid detox centers. Whenever I took small dose of Naltrexone in the past I could feel it was much stronger then bup in terms of lacing on to the receptors.. Am going to go this route because other sub users claimed they felt mentally as though sub was not there, if it can work for them when they were on high doses then surely it can work me considering am on tiny doses of bup..Am already feeling a little clearer since I've been on low dose subs and tapering, so surely that is a good sign.

Even if it does not knock all the bup from the receptors the fact you can feel less bup in your mind and mentally clear post-Naltrexone seems appealing to me. Am going to have to go through the aftermath anyway regardless so if Naltrexone can give me a ahead start then why not. Hell someone who used Naltrexone in a rapid detox center from 16mgs suboxone claimed to have recovered in 2 weeks.
