I want to do an acetone wash on some coke before iv. could i use this bottle of acetone? It doesn’t seem to have any water in it.

You still would need to dry out the acetone using magnesium sulfate.

never done it myself but you need anhydrous acetone because coke HCI is very water soluble, just because the bottle doesn't say water doesn't mean that it's anhydrous.

no idea how hard it is to make anhydrous using mag sulfate

It’s very easy to do, but true anhydrous acetone can be purchased online as well for more money. The shit in this post/photo is some run of the mill cheap nail polish remover that’s probably diluted with water around 60-70%. There’s anhydrous acetone in salon grade, tech grade, and lab grade, but as I’ve already mentioned making acetone anhydrous is super simple. You can use dried magnesium sulfate or even molecular sieves.
