I'm thinking of trying cocaine again after two years without doing it at all. Last time I did it maybe I took too much anbd had a lot of racing heart and anxiety. I tried to drink some alcohol to calm mysef down and it only made matters worse I think due to cocaethylene forming. I have plenty of phebobarbital tablets and I wonder if things go awry is it a good a idea to take some phenobarbital? Or does it also have some sort of interaction with cocaine, like cocaethylene and will it only made me worse?

Be Careful

Phenobarbital would probably help keep you 'chill' while doing your coke, but remember phenobarbital is pretty weak compared to other barbiturates and it may be better for using while coming down off coke. PLus maybe next time don't do as much coke, if your getting paranoid and fast heart rate that bothers you then you may be just taking too much.. If you have any xanax or valium or another benzo that would be your best bet for taking the 'edge' off while doing your coke... But if you wind up going with Xanax make sure you don't over-do it and become a babbling blacked-out coked out retard and doing something you regret.. If you can get Valium, Ativan, or k-pins that would be a better bet as you would be less likely to black out and Klonopin ,in particular, would be good cuz you could just take 1 or 2mgs and it would last all night while your doing ur coke and keep you a lil more chill... Just remember to be safe, and using benzos with coke can actually be safe as I am pretty sure they give you a benzo in the hospital if you end up ODing on coke, but i am not 100% sure..Just be careful bro.

hipothethically (however you write that) you could, but ime phenobarbital is such a hassle and the least spontaneous drug ever so itd be ineffective, and coke definitely isn't that

i mean phenobarb has a fuckin monstrous half-life, like 2 to 5 days, and even worse, it takes forever to kick in. i remember smth like peak plasma concentrations are reached like 12hs after oral administration.

so its definitely worthless to use it 'as needed'... taking it together with coke to ease the anxiety is useless, your coke binge will have ended when phenobarb starts to kick in.

it'd be effective to do it like you wake up in the morning and think 'hmm tonight i'm doing coke' and take 100-120mgs of phenobarb. but still you'd be barbed out for at least another day

so yeah... quick and short acting benzos like other users said would be ideal... think xanax

also remember lots of coke is cut with levamisole and that it metabolizes into methylaminorex, which i believe is a shitty stim. the legend says pure coke does not get you anxious. but still, its an obvious stim side effect... you can be getting pure coke and feel anxious i guess. lots of people say coke is overrated

I do think phenobarbital for cocaine-induced anxiety is not altogether warranted, when looking at the bigger picture. Phenobarbital, aside from being inherently dangerous as a barbiturate, has an extremely long duration of action and half-life, and would be active in your system for days. I, also, would be very surprised if anxiety caused by any cocaine use would last as long as it would take the phenobarbital to kick in to do any good.

phenobarbital is kind of overkill i believe.

In what sense? I ask 'cause phenobarbital is an extremely weak barbiturate, you get no buzz whatsoever off it. It is very useful for weaning off stronger barbs though, prevents potentially fatal withdrawals. Still widely used for epilepsy despite supposedly superior newer anticonvulsants. But pretty useless as a stand-in for benzos, effects are far too different.

In what sense?

a drug that has a 5 day half life and takes ~8 hours to reach peak effect probably shouldn't be used to treat stimulant anxiety if that stimulant has a 30 min half life...
