Harm Reduction Can I take clonidine to lower BP from nuvigil?

Reason I ask is that I am aware that some BP medicine can cause a very bad reaction if used to combat BP spikes with stimulats. Anyone know if clonidine is NOT recommend for stimulant BP or if its safe.

Armodafinil (nuvigil) shouldn't increase BP as much as things like amphetamine or caffeine.

It does for me, I take it for the euphoria... I take 4-6 of the 250 mg at once and I get this tightness, rapid heart beat that is uncomfortable, not so much physically but mentally uncomfortable if you know what I mean.

Plus I work out and take a No2 supp that has 160 mg caff per serving.

So will clonidine help or hurt? I know beta blockers can cause a bad reaction.

Thanks, for the keen sense of the obvious reply. The great thing about clonidine is that it is NOT a feel good med, so its used very sparingly.

I wanted to hear if others have used it to combat stimulant side effects.

What is your blood pressure while on the nuvigil? If you are prescribed it then I would ask your doctor about using clonidine with it, as you need to be screened to confirm you have high blood pressure anyway since you can't diagnose yourself based on symptoms you experience since that's not accurate considering that these symptoms may just be from anxiety caused by the medication or something.

I used clonidine when I was prescribed adderall and Dexedrine. I mostly used it for sleep at night, but occasionally took a small dose along with the stimulant med I was prescribed at the time (was prescribed adderall and Dexedrine but not together) to help with the anxiety when I couldn't stand to spare any more of my valiums for that purpose.

^^. Thank you. I dated a nurse way back when he wrote it for the sex enhanc. It's just stuck with me over the years.
I remember a friend years back taking beta blockers or something that treated high blood pressure thinking relief but actually caused it to spike higher.
