Yo guys,

I've recently quit taking Xanax about a month ago, and recovery has been pretty good for the most part.

Except now I'm going to be going to a huge event and ingesting some stims.

I look to dampen the comedown, so I'm planning on taking a 2mg bar.

Am I gonna go crazy with withdrawal symptoms again as soon as it wears off?

It is very possible that you'll have strong rebound symptoms. My vote would be a strong "no", but realistically it depends on your history of benzo abuse. If you experienced full Xanax withdrawal a month ago, I certainly wouldn't try this.

^ Says the guy with a track record of horrible advice... Also, the guy who claims that benzo withdrawal doesn't effect him. If benzo withdrawal doesn't effect you mrflowers, how can you possibly say he'll be fine?

IME many people have strong rebound symptoms after abuse of benzos. Some don't though, it's variable depending on the situation and dosage. Generally it correlates well with intensity of w/d from benzodiazepines in the past (i.e. if you can dump a xanax habit with no problem, you shouldn't have rebound effects, whereas if benzo w/d is crippling for you then... I advise against taking benzos)

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm pretty strong willed so I most likely won't get addicted again.

I took one last night and I feel perfectly fine right now. The withdrawal symptoms didn't come back. Awesome!! And I don't feel any urge to take any more.

just read your first post with the focus on, i dont see no harm as using one as a parachute
especially if you have a strong will, i thought you went a month benzo free and was bored and was going to eat a stick just cuz it was there

(stay away ~be strong ~ drink some tea , find some alternative

why waste 1 months hard work
i wish i never started them evil fuckers)

You won't get withdrawals from a single use after a month clean, but with benzos it is SO easy to lose control once you have it back in your system, and go 4 days, and after 4 days you WILL have rebound symptoms, which will push you to use longer and before you know it you are 3 weeks in and completely back to where you started. So tread very, very cautiously.

I have xanax on and off, because im prescribed only .5mg on a daily basis. so i'd go like 3-4 days without it, then maybe 1 night i'll take a 1mg or 2. i find that after even a few days without it, 1 use usually doesn't cause me any adverse effects. i experienced real wd symptoms when i went 3 weeks for about 1.5-2mg a day then went cold turkey. and so now I'm only taking it once or twice a week I dont really experience anything when they wear off, of course sometimes little hints of w/d shows up, like inability to focus, or i'd get a small headache after drinking coffee, then i take the lowest dose possible for the "symptom" to go away (not to feel good off the benzo), so i might break my .5 in half and only take .25 and leave it alone for at least a few days. these days i find that a capsule or 2 of l-theanine does the trick.

2mg for a stim downhill imo will probably leave you feeling better than dealing with a stim crash, I personally don't think you'll have a problem. just don't keep more on hand than you plan on taking so you don't end up going a few days with it and the migranes/sweats come back.

Probably not. If you were gonna have a horrid adverse reaction, it would've happened during the previous month, like, a day after stopping the drug.

You shouldn't have any withdrawal symptoms if you're just taking one pill on one occasion.
