can i have hepatitis c?

i dont think you have hep c. In fact I would bet my right testacle on it. Hep C is tranfered from blood to blood contact not sewage water.Start using internationally made bottled water in your shots.

Thanks from replying crystal junk, but hospital leaked sewage water into the plumbing cud have hep c,80 percent of the patients are infected.though i'll get tested soon...im worried about hiv too people..

No your confused. Sewage is urine and feces. Hep C is spread through blood. But yes get tested.

Hep C is blood to blood transmission. The only way you would get it orally is if you theoretically swallowed blood or a blood product (like sperm) and there was an exposed cut in your mouth or somewhere in your GI. The blood to oral route is an extremely unlikely way to contract hep C.

The most common way is through being stuck with an infected needle, sharing hygenic products with someone who is infected (like their toothbrush, nail-clippers, even their hair brush in some cases), or somehow coming into contact with a lot of blood while you have an exposed cut or wound. You can also contract it sexually even though this route is uncommon. The research on the sexual transmission aspect is still controversial but it does happen, and it's how I was infected 6 years ago.

You are unlikely to get it from drinking the public water in India, but as a side note... ew... why on earth would you do that anyway? You should only be drinking from a local well that is known to be safe; or buy sealed bottled water, it's not that expensive.

Foreigner I think she is shooting up the public water which is why she is concerned. But I dont think there is any way she got it like that.

if you're gonna continue iv usage try boiling some water ahead of time and keep stored in an airtight container (empty amps, etc). from what I understand about hep c its gonna be hard to contract through water unless its pretty prevalent in the water but then more people would have it so I think its unlikely.

Sorry, I misunderstood the OP. Apologies.

If you're boiling and filtering the public water you shouldn't get hep C from it because heat will denature the viral RNA; but be aware that a lot of the water in India is contaminated with industrial toxins like heavy metals that won't be screened out with standard micron filters. You would need to use reverse osmosis to accomplish that and that would be expensive.

Crimsonjunk foreigner serotonin thanks for replying.80 percent of the hospital patients have hep c,4 percent of the population i think,i wasnt shooting up the water,i would wet a cloth with it and open commercial benzo ampuoles to im iv,so the sound of shards and glass wouldnt reach others,i didnt shoot it but just twice when i washed a bottle with it and filled it with liquid benzos to take with me..im freaking right now becauseihave social anxiety disorder and cant go to buy more ampoules, althought im planning to quit, because i dropped my last two ampoules on the home bathroom floor and if a single shard is found im screwed

Althought i turned the light off and searched the floor with a flash light and flushed everything i found, but theres a damned chance..im worrying i ve got hep c now frm scrounging the floor since i recently came frm the hospital and my shoes were on the bathroom floor, although i used sterilizing liquid for the floor before that..i have slight ocd and obsess abt these things, but if anyones
Gine thru it benzo withrawal makes u simply paranoid..

I see that the problem has more to do with your anxiety than anything else. Look, it sounds like you are already being super precautious. If you cut your foot and theoretically some hep C from the hospital got into your cut then you may or may not be infected. The only way you can know for sure is to wait the 30-60 day window and go get tested for hep C. Some people develop flu like symptoms after three weeks from infection but others don't.

In the mean time, try to calm down. You're doing the best you can. Even if you theoretically have hep C you're not going to die. You're a hospital worker and will surely have access to treatment.

Personally, I would worry more about being caught for hijacking drugs from the hospital. I don't know what the laws are like where you are but in North America the penalties are pretty steep.

i buy the drugs,i dont hijack them anymore.. : ) i do have major anxiety issues, right now i feel so awful..ugh,i wish someone would sit by me and hold my hand and tell me its okay and to wait till morning.thanks for caring to reply foreigner

Bluehues i remember i injected in a bathroom at my home where the water always smelled funny, like sewage honestly, and i used that to to open ampoules without realizing wat i was thinking...at least about 20 times i think, i could hav hep c from that, wat do you think honestly? Im going to get tested in two weeks anyway, but until then im going to assume i have it and keep my family sheilded.

Brimz how long after exposure did u develop symptoms?

Oh good question i really couldn't say .

See i only found out when i was tested ( it is mandatory in the U.K if you are in hospital )

So i really can't say . I have a rough idea where i may have contracted it but can't be 100%
