Opioids Can I get high of decorative poppy pods

So I'm kinda desperate for opiates and I remember seeing one of those decorative baskets with a shitload of dried poppy pods at this place I am currenty living. It's not mine but I could grab quite a few of the pods without anyone noticing.

So they must of been grown purely for decorative use, is there any chance there is something useable in them? I've made tea with dried pods before but when I bought them their main use was to get high on.

I could take a picture if it would help although to be honest I'm probably grasping at straws.. is there any chance they could contain enough psychoactive substance to give me an opium high? Is there anyway I can tell without making the tea and drinking it?

Edit: I'll add that they are most probably extremely old but they don't lose potency anyway do they?

these are somniferum poppy pods, which are the most common type around ATM in the UK, and they have the kind of alkaloids you want in their pods.

Unfortunately theres loads of poppy varieties that dont have the kind of alkaloids you want in their pods.
