Heroin Can cocaine be used to bring someone out of a *heroin* overdose?

So what if it isn't an opiate over dose.
What if you drank wayy too much liquor and took too many benzos/ barbs or w.e

There is no narcan for that ,what do you do to counter that?

Flumazenil for benzos, alcohol I don't know.

God, I can't even begin to imagine how bad precipitated benzo withdrawal must be if injected with this...

I don't think this would be for someone foaming at the mouth, vomiting and going into seizures. They need to get to a hospital.

However, an opiate "overdose" (IE, taking too much) that has you nodding out way too hard may be helped with a small amount of a short acting stimulant.

I would never recommend it but I think it might help you stay conscious during those borderline heavy nods/possible overdose. The kind of overdose where you're completely unresponsive but might pull out of it without any narcan.

The reason I think it works is because people who speedball will sometimes nod out and OD after the coke wears off. So if you kept doing bumps so the coke lasts as long as the dose of heroin you might avoid the heavy nod/borderline OD. Maybe.

That said, I would never rely on this for an OD.

Yeah, it worked for me two nights ago. Noticed I wasn't breathing unless I forced myself too, and even then I was having trouble--and I was about to pass out. DId fat lines of blow and thought I was going to have a heart attack from that much though I was barely awake. It kept me breathing long enough to not die or need to call the paramedics. Not a real overdose though, otherwise I'd be dead.

Yes, a stimulant can help in the event you are just really high. It can bring you back up. However, it has no effect on respiratory depression so you're still at risk for opiate overdose even if you are consuming stimulants as well.

That's great to know, thanks! Why is that the case though? Does the mechanism for respiratory depression via opiates just completely null any effects on the cardiovascular system from adrenergic drugs?

Edit: Forgot "system"

Is it possible to have used so much stimulants that the opiates won't sedate you and you'll just die a horrible death choking because you can't breathe instead of falling asleep and never waking up?

So you guys are saying that even if you're wide awake from stims you can still die from not being able to breathe? Doesn't seem to make sense, and if it IS true then that sounds like a horrible death.

Yes, respiratory depression can still occur even if the euphoric opiate effects are being masked by stimulants.

So this would be like, being conscious but being unable to draw a breathe? I want to see an actual case of this happening, it sounds too crazy to be true. and if it is true then it is a horrible death and I would like to know if anyone has died like that... scary. But if it is true, thanks for the warning because I would presume it isn't.

You don't realize it's happening just like with a normal heroin overdose. You just loose consciousness.
