Can Buprenorphine be tested for?

What is buprenorphine's potential for drug testing?

I was also curious to know what a good first time dosage would be and what it would be considered in relation to the quality of other opioid analgesics. Is it, at all, similar and euphoric as other opioids? If the effects and feelings are different, how are they and to what extent?

This is maybe in the wrong forum.

Reagent tests that reportedly detect buprenorphine are:

Marquis --> violet color

Libermann's --> black color

As for whether it would be picked up in a urine or swab test; it would depend upon how thorough the testing procedure is. There are specific urine tests available for the detection of buprenorphine.

Buprenorphine, a kappa antagonist is regarded as probably having less addiction potential than with morphine. I would think there's likely to be considerable difference in the euphoric properties of each.

I gave up using bup recreationally, almost useless. it gets people who are opiate naive kinda high.

The first time I took Suboxone I got pretty high. It was totally different than what your typical opiates feel like. I have a pretty high tolerance and I took 16mg. Also, when I took it the next day I didn't even catch a buzz. It still helped with body aches and pains and put me in a good mood but that's it. I noticed that to get high on Suboxone you can only take it once every certain amount of time.

this is really an OD question, I think.

Anyway, if you have a really low tolerance, a tiny chunk of a 8mg tablet will give you a good buzz.

yes it can be tested for, easily, but it's rather uncommon. If they do a GC/MS they'll find it though. A NIDA-5 type won't.
