Misc Can Barbiturates be Snorted/Insuffladed?

A hypnotic/sedative dose of amobarbital orally is 100mg-200mg whereas IV or IM its 20mg-25mg though no one discusses snorting them.

Its a rare ocasion that I have amobarbital pills and HATE syringes so shooting is out of the question, even if it were in vials I would evaporate it like K and still take'm them either orally, snorted or plugged.

Can somebody please elaborate based on the difference between oral and IV/IM doses of nembutal, seconal, etc and how snorting could increasing BA?

I figure there must be someone that can at least rationalize this considering water soluable drugs tend to be snorted which is why benzos aren't.

I'm sure somebody here snorted barbs in their day.

Help somebody
 
babiturates have wierd acidity issues, iirc... the "free" barbiturates are quite acidic and the sodium salts are at least mildly basic (i thought).

they aer extensively and rapidly absorbed orally so there is no real need to snort them and get an irritated nose.

About 15min ago I snorted a 25mg pill and the burn was about 10 min but Im hoping to get something from it, I feel it a bit more than ora. lI have been taking amobarbital orally in doses no greater than 150mg over the course of a day or 75mg at once.

Would I be tolerant to barbiturates after only 5 times in 1 week?

Also these pills have 15mg propanolol, atropine 0.2mg, ergoton 0.3mg and 25mg amobarbital. Does anyone see any potentially hazardous mixtures as of those?

I only see low blood pressure as an issue...
 
Thanks for all the info! I ended up snorting 2 pills (50mg) which I didn't think would hit me considering I've been using them almost daily (4-5 days out of the week, however the most i've used was 125mg in one day and not at once). I continued up to 75mg, the last 25mg taken in 4 lines over the course of 30-45min and can say it was stronger and more euphoric than any other time I've dosed on them. I had also taken codeine/caffeine (120mg/225mg), as well as my daily benzo dose which wasn't taking my edge off.

The burn is horrible but entirely worth it in my opinion, the high hits you much faster and this ROA is at least 2x-2.5x, dare i say even 3 times as stong. Really impressed by it. Once it hits and the drip goes away you can instantly *feel* as every muscle in your body relaxes and the mental 'chit chat' becomes non existant. It feels nothing like alcohol, at least if you are lying down and not running marathons, and it has a greater euphoria than ghb in my opion. The hypnotic effects along with the euphoria make you feel incredibly blissful and your thoughts aren't nearly as impaired as with benzos or alcohol (at this dose at least).

Other than the euphoria provided by narcotic opioids this is a close second, it feels almost like an opioid in that if I wanted the euphoria from and opioid or that from amobarbital it would be a hard gamble..much better than soma or ghb with this ROA.

I forgot to ask, can these pills be IVed?
