can anyone tell me what (court ordered) rehab is like?

first time offender, wont go into specifics about it but I have an arraignment coming up and I still don’t know exactly what to expect, so this might not shake down in a way where I’m 100% for sure going to rehab, but there is still a big possibility. I’ve been to psych wards as a kid and as recent as like, 3 years ago, so I was wondering if someone could give insight on what to expect from this/how does it compare? What will the days look like, now that I’m an adult would I get to keep my electronics, etc. Any insight anyone can offer about this would be great and ease my anxiety a lot.

Court ordered rehab is much better than being sent straight to jail. If you do it, they generally take time off your shit.

Have you ever been to rehab? It's not that bad... they can just be a bit boring... but so is jail.

I guess they're a lot like psych wards... only with much less psychosis and they have more of a shitty hotel vibe.

They're all different, but no, you won't be able to keep your phone or any electronics.

It will be like a psych ward but with more a few more freedoms. They generally have communal TVs, you can walk around, smoke cigs outside... you aren't confined to a room and they don't force you to take meds. You can refuse them, but I would highly advise against that, because they report your performance to the court.

Just do whatever they say. Rehab is not that bad. I met a lot of cool dudes and had many interesting conversations with interesting people in rehab.

It's nothing like jail, everyone is super chill most of the time.

I've been to jail a dozen or so times and hated every goddamn second of it.
I've been to rehab 7 times and to me it's sort of like summer camp.

I'd rather spend 4 weeks in rehab than 4 days in jail.

Keep an open mind. Every time I've been to rehab I've learned something.
