Can anyone help recommend a dose for LSD?

Hey guys,

I've used acid once before, on my own. I took two tabs, one an hour after the other, and did trip. I was in a very good mood and it made me calm, though I felt pretty sober and there was very little head trip. The visuals were much more than expected however (when I was active they were less noticeable but if I stared at a pattern it would just come alive, amazing). Im doing acid again with my friends soon and we are getting tabs that are around 120mcg each (one of my friends has connections to the actual chemist, so let's assume the dose is about right). How much should I take to get an about equal experience with the one I had? I couldn't tell if it was a weak or strong LSD trip because it was my first time so I don't know how much I should do with these tabs! I'm afraid to just take one and be disappointed and have no more acid or buy two and end up tripping too hard or wasting a tab by not taking it. What would you guys suggest?

Sorry if the question was unclear, typing it from my friends phone so it takes a bit of effort :)

We don't really allow 'how much should I take' threads, but if they are really 120 ug blotters one of them should be sufficient to reach the level of effects you described at the start of your post.

Check the Beginner's FAQ in general because there is more coverage of this question whether to risk an underwhelming trip or risk an overwhelming trip. Read that and make your own decision, do not ask us. I'm sorry but I will have to ask other users to not post very brief and quick posts just saying 'take 1' or 'take 2'. This is not what we stand for.
But I myself think there is something logical and objective about saying that just keeping it on the safe side starting on any different batch of acid or other drugs is the most wise if you consider keeping an eye on your own safety wise. I think arguments about 'wasting' hits is not convincing. You will get another opportunity.
If you want to just risk it and are ready to accept the consequences of a strong experience like you never had before then why ask us in the first place?
Just in case that's what you are considering most, pay all that more attention to Set & Setting.

Homeboy definitely does not know the chemist. Especially if you from Massachusetts. You need to call him out on that shit.. lol

Anyway like Solpisis said 120 mics is enough to approximate the experience you described. I'd suggest you double up on that dose, after all, you said it wasn't that heavy of a mental trip for you. Might as well push it and see how the experience changes. LSD is pretty forgiving in most cases, you don't have anything to worry about except a more interesting trip.

He himself is actually a chemist working in England. If he was from a rural town in Massachusetts I'd definitely agree haha but I'm gonna believe him on this. Or he knows the guy laying the blotter like someone mentioned. Either way, I'm just assuming :P

I'll probably end up taking one and having another just in case, though this is my first time doing LSD with others and thus I'd be afraid of an overwhelming trip. I had heard LSD was not too forgiving and caused pretty bad anxiety in social situations, but I guess I'll look into that more. Thanks a lot to both of you!
 
Here's what I do with acid:

If it's a new batch of acid that I've never tried before, and therefor have no way of knowing the strength of that acid, the first trip with that unfamiliar batch of acid whose strength I have no way of knowing, I will take ONE hit, just to see how it goes. Sometimes 1 hit of acid is plenty.

But I use that first 1 hit dose to kind of gauge the strength of the acid.

If they sound like 120, then 1 hit should be pretty awesome, and 2 hits and you'll probably be tripping balls. 3 hits of that will be a hell of a trip, no doubt about it. I love acid, but I am personally not too interested in super high doses of it anymore.
