Can a one time large xanax dose last days?

I took around 10-20mg xanax one night and felt the effects for about 2 days after i dosed that one night, i had no/very low tolerance and dosed that much since i wasnt using an accurate scale. Did i take xanax or phenazepam? Since i know from experience phenazepam can last pretty long into the next day after dosing just once.

Xanax has a 36 to 48 hour life span in the body. The effects you would feel a few days later are what I call a benny hangover.

If you had no tolerance, why take so much?

I tend to overdo it with powdered benzos unlike uppers i cant really tell when the effects kick in so i keep dosing and eventually end up knocking out plus its hard to accurately measure 1-2mg..should have diluted it in some PG
