No .. maybe if I was a SMOD or administrator... you need to make 50 posts hun....
Hmmm, I'm not sure I feel comfortable discussing this with you (yet) because you seem to be acting a little holier-than-thou ... which TBH I just don't have time for... But if you're sincerely interested in my complicated life feel free to pose your questions a little bit more nicely. I love a friendly debate & discussion!
Now I'm gonna go see if you've responded to my post in your "cigarette-quitting" thread. All the best to ya..
We have a family doctor. She knows we're still nursing. Though based on so much, I certainly won't be taking it more than 3-4 x a week. My recent activity was 7 mg total over 4 days... any more than that might make me uncomfortable because my child would then be like a research project... No thanks not interested...
OT. Reported.
You're STILL OT. I did not actually come here to discuss this. But since you're so concerned (my doctor isn't) -
Do your research. My child has never displayed any side effects noted in some breastfeeding INFANTS (she's a toddler): " such as sedation, feeding difficulties, and weight loss". Sorry, holier-than-thou, there's no problem here. I'm sorry you feel inadequate about how you chose to feed your child.
Let's please not go there. MODS? Get out of this thread, you're not giving me any support that I need.
Doctors are fucking retarded.... I take the word over several bluelighter with experience with a drug than a doctor with none.... Doctors provide so much information..... Misinformation that is..
Wow... You either need to cut the Xanax out completely or stop breastfeeding your toddler...
Violenza, I do not think you were out of line with that comment. Regardless of how old the child is, it's really not appropriate to be taking (that much, if any at all) Xanax while breastfeeding! My opinion.
Indeed. I am also disgusted by the attitude of "well, my doctor says it's alright so it must be." Total sheeple attitude. I can point out MANY occasions on which (ex- heh!) doctors told me outright lies or plain bad medical advice. The fact that somebody attended medical school and would deem this "acceptable" is not exactly surprising to me, but extremely disturbing at the same time. This is common sense!
OP, not trying to demean you. You may not like my opinion but you must understand that you open yourself up to such criticism when you post something like this. Just know that you are potentially risking your child's health and well-being.
^Agreed. Doctors know little about pharmacology IME, and often get upset when I try to explain how things really work.
I've not been to a doctor in some time.
The big common sense Q for ME, is How is the xanax affecting her neurochemicals? It is a big question mark. The amount she receives is MINIMAL. You can do some poking around and find out that it really isn't that risky as far as passing an effective amount or sedating my child through milk, that is not happening.
I wish I knew how things worked in this instance.. so much "unknown" makes me feel more & more unsure about getting back on the xanax. As I mentioned my intake is on May 4.
