Industrial Jungle (Urban)
Giant buildings peaking the sky,
Floating like a stairway to heaven.
Populated over the millions,
Squeezed into a tiny space of light,
Running all night like a pulse.
Goliath pipes and concrete legos,
Twisting cities and few signs of green.
Hazy sky with dots of white,
Names we all know
But never experianced.
So compact,
So little nature,
So little heart except for a
Pace-maker that is stainless steel.
Mountains (Nature)
Out of the sim-city of urbanism,
Into the mountains that glide the hills.
Musty clouds carressing their sides,
Like a silk dress that is two sizes to big.
Beautiful carvings that took years to make,
Brown caves of adventerous strength.
Serene in faith that helps one feel,
The trees that live on the mountains live twice more than any other trees.
Never sunny but always a bit gloomy,
The sureal future of nature that really is the past,
You cannot believe such wonders exist,
Until you drive through them and write them in words.
Farmlands (Rural Country)
Far off into the distance,
It's grass and green hills.
Livestock grazes with it's family aside.
Two lane highways that were once 6 lane freeways,
Slowly the live moves but enough to live.
Plain as a desert,
But with more life than a party,
The agriculture that keeps it's presence,
Is what makes california the state it is.
Surrounded by rain, grass, and hills,
Anything that stops will never stay to long,
But anything that lives will live there a lifetime.
