Stimulants Caffeine, Safe but counter-productive stimulant?

anyone have thoughts on caffeine for fat loss?
Personally, I’ve used it with great results to my surprise.
I know caffeine is a stimulant so you might be thinking it’s kind of obvious that it helps weight loss, for example through appetite suppression. however, despite being such a mild stimulant it appears to do a great job with little side effects.
But there’s one thing I found quite strange and I want to know if anyone else has experienced this or if it applies to other stimulants as well.
Firstly, when it works well, caffeine does nothing to suppress my appetite, it just maintains my energy levels thus minimising the incentive to eat.
The other thing is, that high dose caffeine only works well if I take it a few days to a week after starting a calorie restricted diet. if I take it on the first day of my diet, I just get extreme jitteriness and anxiety.

Anyone tried caffeine free energy drinks? I have, they are quite hard to get hold of and are generally very expensive. they usually contain non-stimulant plant extracts such as ginseng and lots of B vitamins. of course, they lack the kick that regular caffeine containing energy drinks provide, but that’s not really a surprise. however, the caffeine free drinks were actually still quite effective and much more than I thought they would be. although it’s not recommended, I actually liked consuming them close to bedtime as they would make me feel better when I woke up. Maybe some of this was just a placebo but it’s interesting nonetheless.
I think energy drink companies should invest in making more caffeine free alternatives for those that can’t tolerate or otherwise wish to stop caffeine.

does anyone else agree with me that caffeine works best after a good nights sleep?
I generally wait about an hour or two after waking up in the morning, then I drink a mug or two of strong coffee and just relax until it hits me. I absolutely love the way it makes me feel, the extreme contrast between the foggy minded and sluggish states I am in after a awakening and the sudden switch to clear-headed high energy and more enthusiastic state.
Some days it works better than others, but generally it always works if I’ve had a good night sleep.

i’m sure you will remember the start of this thread, when caffeine stopped working for me and was only causing me side-effects. if you’ve been through my whole thread or seen the more recent post, you will know that caffeine is now thankfully working great for me again.
Unfortunately, things have taken a strange turn with one of my other favourite drugs, nicotine. Whilst I still enjoy it, I find that it can make me feel quite apathetic, anxious and more sensitive to boredom shortly after using it. I guess that could be because I don’t use it regularly, because if I use it a few days in a row The negative effects do diminish and the positive ones get stronger.

I just wish I had never messed with it when I was 11 and then got addicted at 13 to smokeless/ chewing tobacco, Kodiak or sometimes Skoal fine cut wintergreen or silver creek wintergreen because it was cheap and buy one get one free.

Then later in life became a light smoker, on and off. But unfortunately on again.

However I have found that making my own. Buying the filtered tubes and cigarette tobacco and using a cigarette making machine, is much much cheaper. Also I smoke less; maybe it's because I am lazy. Lol
