Buzzing on Caffeine??

Wanted to give some brief input...there was one summer a couple years ago I sort of used caffeine pills for recreational purposes. I was low on money for weed at the time and I had just come off a 4-month stint trying out amphetamines for the first time in my life - I was pretty hooked to amps then, but, at the same time, I only used them for school-work, and I didn't give a fuck about them when summer rolled around.

Long story short, I used anywhere from 2-5 200 mg caffeine pills in the course of a day every other day or so that summer. I usually didn't do more than 2 max at one time to avoid much noticeable tension, but, still, I would usually do that 2-3 times a day, so it added up. I personally thought it was a pretty good buzz, actually. However, I don't know how much of that would be a placebo effect. I wasn't naive to stimulants due to my previous use of amps, so I knew it wasn't shit compared to amphetamines, but, nonetheless, I enjoyed the rushing feeling and slight euphoric uplift that caffeine pills provided. Then again, I was desperate for some sort of entheogen/substance intoxication, so take that for what it is.

The most enjoyable things for me to do while on caffeine pills were: listening to fast, loud, sometimes even obnoxious music; playing racing video games, like anything along the lines of Mario Kart 64, etc. etc.; also randomly just enjoyed surfing the web, but NOT watching the TV, which made me feel restless.

I also would take walks and sometimes work out when on caffeine pills, but I stopped doing either of those activities whilst on caffeine pills pretty quickly - no reason to make your heart beat faster when it's already artificially being forced to beat faster.

It was an experimental summer with caffeine pills produced out of my own boredom and pure want to do something - it's not like I regret it, but it was pretty fucking pointless all the same. They are cheap as shit though - however, if I was going to make an analogy between caffeine pills and weed, the caffeine pills are, in my opinion, way worse when compared to amphetamines than even when comparing most schwag to chronic grade weed. Caffeine pills are like the dirt in dirt schwag, real talk...

Wouldn't say it causes any euphoria at all. However if your already in a good mood caffeine can keep you going, but like this thread stated over and over, caffeine is no where near other stimulants. Useful for waking up in the morning or staying up late, useless for trying to get high.

For me it provides a noticeable mood boost, but any real "euphoria" always requires me to do something else enjoyable at the same time. Caffeine's mental effects are far behind amphetamine's or even ephedrine's.

Tolerance will eliminate these already weak effects. You might be able to get some enjoyment out of caffeine if you stop drinking it entirely for a few weeks, but it's worthless for any kind of regular usage.

EDIT: Take anything I say with a grain of salt, though. Caffeine affects different people in very different ways.

Oh, don't remind me of ephedrine-I had the nightmare experience from hell on that shit.

Caffeines weird; I overdo it and hate the effects, the jitters comedown, headaches etc but I tell you what: I couldn't function without my morning cup of coffee. A love-hate type deal, I guess.

To me there is zero euphoria, zero mood lift, just a subtle sense of energy. If I'm very tired it can be a lifesaver.
I also like tea as it gives alertness but with none of those coffee jitters; it's both relaxing and energizing at the same time.

There's no doubt I'd choose coca tea over caffeine based drinks; shits to hard to source though

I actually considered using that stuff at one point, since it's legal (though I would have to have an adult buy it). The potential heart damage scared me off.

It's still legal? I always figured they'd ban the stuff eventually. A lot of people actually have good experiences on it; apparently the effects are supposed to be just like speed, only without the euphoria. When I took it, I was also on suboxone so I guess that could explain the horrible reaction I had. Then again, I've heard of many people also having bad experiences on it.

Mitragyna speciosa is a close relative to the coffee plant and white veined varieties provide a much better stimulating euphoria than caffeine ever could. there's a really nice article here which explains its effects etc

Caffeine is all over the place with me. I never noticed it effecting me when I was younger, but after being prescribed several different Amphetamines, I now feel caffeine. Problem is, is that its unpredictable as hell. Sometimes it just wakes me up, sometimes it makes me feel gross/anxious/over-stimulated, and very rarely will it give me a very dirty, but subtle euphoria that lasts for like 45min. Why is this? I'd love to know.

This is also from as little as 40-80mgs of caffeine.

In its pure form i find caffeine to be a very useful tool. It keeps you alert and awake without the jitteriness and bubble guts from coffee or sugar of energy drinks. much cheaper too.

I personally find caffeine, or a strong espresso mood lifting. not euphoric. but it can definitely help get through certain points. but when i become addicted to caffeine, the day i decided to quit i notice my general perception is slightly less positive, and just sleepy.
