Butylone shelf life?

I've read some reports of it breaking down rather quickly and others to the contrary. Anyone here known of someone storing it for an extended period and how did this affect the chemical?

Well it seems to me that its a sturdy chemical on a molecular level, the ketone could be reduced but I do not think it would happen under normal circumstances.

I have some butylone that has been stored for quite a long time but do not like to use it myself anymore so who knows if the chemical is affected...

Phenethylamines in general have very good shelf lives unless they contain a certain weak group in the molecular structure, pyrrolidine could be one - such as in MDPV or the -PPP series (pyrrolidinopropiophenone).

So... MDPV is likely to degrade quickerly? Must hoover mine up then ;) lol

No I only said could be, I've had some alpha-PPP which is similar turn on my in physical form and also there are reports of a certain funky smell that might be pyrrolidine, who knows. And the smell seemed to increase. The pyrrolidine-group cannot just fall off in totality I think, but it might be more susceptible to the effects of time and 'the elements'.

It's all relative. MDPV might just be less stable than MDMA but MDMA is good for an insanely long time. All I am saying is that these beta-ketones or pyrrolidinosaurs might go extinct a little earlier than that insanely long time.

The butylone should remain fine for workable amounts of time. Months, a couple of years, I could not see them elements put a dent in it unless you are storing it chronically in a solution that is not neutral.

Thank you Sol. Is your response based on anecdotal evidence and/or real scientific theory?

Would it be fine to store butylone in a dry setting where it could potentially reach 70 degrees?
