I have been prescribed in addition to norco a 10 mcg/hr Butrans patch. It is to be worn for a week, thus why I get four for a month. I?ve never taken this, so I have a question:

I know the site isn?t supposed to help someone get high, but I do need some help to be safe. How much of the patch do you eat to get a good euphoria? I want to be safe, and I can?t find anything about eating the patches anywhere. On an empty stomach and using potentiation, 15mg of Norco will give me a mild euphoria. So if I can get an idea on how much of the patch I need to consume. Thanks in advance
 
While bupe can be very recreational in the beginning for those with a low tolerance I would highly advise trying to use it this way, the return on investment so to speak is very poor, it will raise your tolerance exponentially compared to the amount of buzz you get back and any euphoric effects you get will fade very quickly and never come back and on top of that 15mg of norco won't do shit for you after that. Bupe raises tolerance differently than other opioids, its a much more encompassing and longer lasting tolerance, just taking a quick break won't do much to reduce it, it sticks. So unless you want to completely ruin your ability to enjoy opiates for more than relief(from pain, or WD) then don't try to use bupe to get high. Just use the patch as intended for pain, and pop a few hydro when you want a buzz.
 
Thank you. Sorry to bump tho thread, but if I do have a moment of weakness and consume the Butrans patch, can anyone answer what is safe consumption? I?ve been doing opiates for a few years, so I?m curious how much of the Butrans patch i?d Have to eat to be safe albeit having noticeable effects?
 
Hi I know it's not good to use these patches other than the doc said but I'd really like to know how to extract the bupe from them I've been chewing but it's awful any help appreciated
 
Maybe I'm a bit nieve, but I thought buprenorphine and any other opioid to not interact well, you cant even go to the pharmacy and fill an opioid script if your on bupe, i been through it before. Im sure with a dose that low anyway you won't really go thru precip WD, but I'm surprised thw pharmacy filled it
 
As the above poster has implied, doing anything with this patch other than what your Doc has intended could modulate the effect of the Hydrocodone in a way that will be negative for your treatment. It's not a good idea. Don't do it.
 
I've been chewing on 5mg patch for an hour then spitting it all back out and it gives you a nice little buzz only bad thing it gives me is a headache around 5 hours after I've finished chewing maybe there's something in the matrix that doesn't agree with me ie the sticky crap can't be good for us hence why I spit the lot back out after an hour. Hope this helps

Well I find that weird for sure. My pain specialist gives me Percocet or supeudol for breakthru pain while I’m on a 20 mcg patch. Everyone should be allowed something for breakthru pain
