Mental Health buspirone for anxiety

can't be worse than ssri's. at least my dick works on these. plus i'm already on clonazepam so it's whatev
 
IMO at least in MY case this stuff did absolutely nothing years ago and though I know it works for some people I think it's a worthless medication.

For some strange reason it seems to be something that psychiatrists are looking for every opportunity to prescribe and which rarely seems to have any desired effects.

I guess it must work for some people but I noticed fewer effects off of it than I do from eating sugar.

Any recommendations for it or prescriptions of it have also come to me through the least favorable psychiatrists I have seen so I tend to equate this drug with bad psychiatry but your mileage may vary of course.
 
Yes buspar, buspirone, boost bars.....
SUCKK especially if you have been taking benzos,
it wont even work on people that used to take high amounts of benzos...

As for the person taking boost bars wirh klonopin, I dont think this is a good idea, my doctor told me taking xanax and Buspar should not be done, but maybe its different with klonopin!

I'll give you a little true story about me.

Well I went and got prescribed suboxone, the prescribing doctor told me he wanted me off the xanax so, at this time I was taking anywhere from 2-4mgs daily of xanax! He writes me a script for only 20 0.5mg xanax and this ridiculous wiening taper, even the pharmacist thought it was weird and quote "Not Right" and he wrote me a script for 60 15mg buspar, now I looked up the starting dose after all of what happend happened and its omly 7.5 he told me to take 15mgs twice daily and wein down from the xanax, when you arnt even supposed tp take those two together I found out from my general practioner. Well the buspar fucked me all up, and I ate all the xanax to try to feel better because of the horrific feeling I got from buspar. Iwent back to his office tried to explain I was in horrible benzo withdrawal, and he flat out told me he would NOT give me anything, guy is sooo corupt its crazy, I am looking into sueing for malpractice I wound up in the E.R literally because I needed a benzo or I could of died thay doc is going to pay for what he put me through

crooked as fuck if your in MI do not go to him, you will want to beat his ass the first day because all he does is talks shit
 
^My condolences. I'm outlawed in Michigan anyways so that shouldn't be a problem haha.

It's fine. It isn't as good as Clonopin which I had taken, but it stops chest tightening. Don't try to abuse it, it will just give you a headache.
 
It was far from awesome. A buncha hippies packed into a jail cell for non-violent mind expanding "crimes" is a crime in and of itself. And, yes, I still have the means but hooking up peeps from the internet is one of the most surefire ways to end up with mandatory minimums :(. Believe me, I wish we could all trip out together on an island with pulsing tribal beats; freegrowing cannabis, mushrooms, and opium; and an all encompassing sense of peaceful freedom. Maybe we, the glorious citizens of this website, should start it up.

I think the buspirone is working decently. It's a mild effect, but far from worthless. I get dizzy spells sometimes but hopefully that will go away as I become accustomed to the drug. I'll hopefully start to taper off the clonaz soon and then the real test will begin. If I could manage my life without using benzos and/or opioids daily, it would make me the happiest man in the world. Be well everyone :)
 
I have been using Buspar for a few days.
I've had no brain zaps. I have had serotonin release that is weird because I'm not used to it, but it feels nice. Mild but nice.
I also have been taking with Lyrica and that's an interesting combo.
I'm on 1350 mg of Lyrica and 20 mg of Buspar.
After an hour or so, maybe I'll boost up the dose of Buspar if I don't feel anything.

Don't say it's just as good as Klonopin because it certainly wasn't IMO, just say "it helped me as much as Klonopin".

We can't argue with YOUR experience, but you say it like it's a fact.

For me, Klonopin helped me overcome so many difficulties it's amazing while Buspar did jack shit.

I think it's worthless personally.

I wound up in the E.R. takin that garbage.

They didnt do anything for me but make me really sick - throwing up and having spasms and jaw pain. Iv tried many many different meds for my anxiety and have never experienced anything like that with the others.
 
Buspirone, Buspar, and/or boos bars.

ARE COMPLETE GARAGE FOR ANXIETY, AND PANIC ATTACKS.

Do Not let your doc or psych talk you into taking that horrible pill, there are NO benefits, and it should Not even be FDA approved but they swindled it somehow and got it passed look into it, some have gone as far as to say it is just a placebo, pill that looks just a little little bit like xanax bars, but all it does is produce negative side effects.

I struggle from anxiety issues, and panic attacks, and I wound up in the hospital because of this medication.

Its bad try to stay away from it
 
I've kind of come to the conclusion (after ~3 months on it) that it doesn't do much for anxiety on its own. Only dizziness.
