I am re-order my business cards and wanted some consumer advice.

When you get a Business card do you prefer it to be:

Glossy - one sided

Glossy - two sided

Matte - one sided

Matte - two sided

I want to get the most bang for my buck and attract as many customers as I can with the most economically efficent manner. So, let me know which one catches your eye and the one you are more likely to keep.

Thanks

LOL @ american psycho great clip

Interesting I thought people would have preffered glossy. I have been using matte so I ill just stick with that.

i prefer matte. one or two sided doesn't really matter to me as long as it's a nice, simple design.

I picked 2 sided matte.
Appointments or promo discounts are written on the other side.

I am more likely to give a person business for an initial or continuing discount.

This - also, what PI and Alasdair said. There really are few things that irk me more than a picture on a business card. If you're taking appointments of any kind, I'd go with two-sided matte, which is how I voted.

I do have a bit of a thing for round corners and semi-see-through business cards like some of the ones on this site (sorry, code is messing up on me):

I suppose it depends on your industry. When in doubt, I'd keep it simple.

^Glossy ones that I have seen are usually for things that can use different color backgrounds, notably black or other deep colors. This obviously won't fly in a lot of businesses, but in ones that it could, I think it is a nice touch. I also wouldn't consider these business cards in the traditional sense (personal contact info)...

So this is what I finally went with:

I think it is nice and simple, nothing on the back though.
