A person has been taking bupropion for several months; the medication is working, the person is no longer depressed. Another effect; lack of motivation, don't want to do what they were planning before. Now, the person is happy and has energy, they just no longer want to put any effort into things. One theory is the drug's effect on dopamine. Since dopamine is the accomplishment chemical and bupropion is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, is the drug substituting a person's desire to have anything accomplished? Has anyone experienced this effect?
