BTDS has a 1/2 life of 26 hours and reaches steady state at day 3 of the 7 day application. The buprenorphine that is released every hour like 5mcg/hr, does that 5 mcg have a 1/2 life of 26 hours and then when another 5 mcg is released that will have a half-life of another 26 hours? I was just confused on the 1/2 life concept of the patch system
