When addicted to heroin if you take Bupe whilst heroin is still in your system then it will send you into precipitated withdrawls as from what i can gather it removes the opiates from your receptors in your brain. Obviously this would be pretty nasty to a person who is addicted to heroin.

But what about someone who is not addicted to heroin, if they were to use heroin and then take Bupe shortly after would it send them into precipitated withdrawls? Is it the action of the Bupe on the heroin in the system or the fact that it's removing a drug that the body is addicted to.

Lastly what if somebody who is addicted to Bupe took Sub straight after H any idea how this would affect them?

Also how long after taking the last dose of heroin is it safe to say the body has removed it all?

Thnx

Yes, even if you're not addicted to Heroin, you would still experience P.Ws as the Heroin is clinging to your mu-receptors and it will still be ripped off by the Buprenorphine.
The same goes for someone addicted to Heroin, but it's likely to be worse for them..

As for how long, you should wait until you're experiencing mild to medium withdrawals before you take any Buprenorphine.

In future, please check the Buprenorphine Mega-Thread as this will answer all your Q's ;)

Thats what im getting at though, if the Bupe rips the heroin of the mu-receptors why would that be a problem for somebody that is not dependant on Heroin, how can you withdraw if your not dependant. Sorry if this has been asked in the Mega thread but i read it a long time back and don't recall this being talked about.

In fact im sure i read that somebody took bupe straight after H somewhere who was not dependant with no problems but can't seem to find it now.

I'm fairly sure that it would still happen, because the Heroin is ripped off your mu-receptors extremely quickly and, for that moment whilst they're "free", all the normal withdrawal symptoms appear until the Buprenorphine manages to replace them.

Usually we have Endorphins occupying those receptors, but when an Antagonist takes place, there's utterly nothing on them.
