Opioids Buprenorphine May Show Up on Probation Drug Test!

So I recently was in jail for violating my probation terms...got caught with guns, e-pills, ect... anyway, I met a guy in their who's PO violated him for a dirty piss test...he tested positive for buprenorphine! Now I know that the county I live in does not test for bupe, and most probation department do not (yet), but I thought I would let everyone know that the fuckin' government is starting to catch on. So if you happen to live in Rockingham County, NH (thats where he was from) and are on probation/parole...don't do subs! Doesn't that suck?
 
Damn, didnt think they would catch on so quickly....

oh well...I know for a fact my PO dont tes me for bupe....woudlnt matter anyway, i got it prescribed.
 
Nothin special. I know the county I live in has tested for buprenorphine as well. Anytime a drug comes into the "mainstream" abused drugs category, it will eventually be tested for.

This will probably get closed down, because drug testing questions aren't allowed on BL.

Im not so sure of that....cause this wasnt exactly a "question" concerning drug testing...just giving informaiton for those who are interested that some county's now test for buprenorphine. It could be considered harm reduction in that if someone is trying to stay clean by getting subs off the street(because they cant afford the horrendous prices at the doc office) then they would be reducing harm to themselves to know that they need to not have bupe in there system when being tested by there PO. All in the interest in reducing harm to people in that situation. Because they are truly trying to stay clean, yet because of new drug testing procedures, they might be doing harm to themselves(get thrown in jail for a positive bupe test) if they are still taking bupe when they get tested.

* I could be wrong though...ive seen some threads closed for rediculous reasons.

i'm going to keep an eye on this thread in the meantime so as no "how to beat this test?" questions arise, which clearly violate our BLUA.

so please be discrete and follow the rules, please:)
 
This doesn't fit the scope of OD very well. Additionally, we don't allow for drug testing discussion. This is exactly that.

People who have to submit for UA's should know not to use drugs that they are going to test for, and it is up to you to figure out what panel they are running, and if they are going to send it off to a lab if anything comes back suspicious or not.
