Hello, I was on a suboxone maintenance ... my doctor dropped my insurance... so naturally I ended up back on the old stuff... now I am trying to get back to a doctor...

Here's my question ...... I was in mild wds and managed ti find 2subs that were 2mg I took them about 12hrs ago... I had been off bupe for a month or so.. now that I am starting to wd again.... could I take some hydros and feel them? Meaning get rid of the wds but also feel good... just intimidated I can find a new doctor

The half life of Suboxone is 20-30 hours, so I doubt you'll get high from a few Vicodin at this point, unless you eat a boat-load of them, which I wouldn't recommend with Suboxone in your system. You might stave off the withdrawl if you eat a few Vics, but that's about it. But that may be good enough right now.

It depends.
Box w/ n is what the one that blocks.
If you just have box alone, you should feel the vics.
Either way, opiates in your body will stop wd whether you actually feel it or not.

^That happens when one takes suboxone after taking a dose of a full agonist (ie: hydrocodone, heroin, etc).

To the poster above that, the effects are negated due to the strength with which buprenorphine (active ingredient in sub) binds to opiate receptors disallowing other opiates from binding and activating receptor. Buprenorphine only partially (moderately) activates the receptor. Buprenorphine will knock off other opiates bound to the receptor causing precipitated withdrawal, it will also prevent them from attaching to the receptor resulting in blockade of the effects.
