Bud from the bahamas

i'll certainly take your word for it. i'd like to travel as much as possible, but it's just not economically feasible atm. thanks for that man, that's exactly what i wanted to hear.

In the past year, the cost of international airfare from the US has skyrocketed, but that's about it. $3000 US could have you a nice month long holiday in some cool but cheap place, including your airfare. That's not hard to do if you're determined.

Has anyone ever had bud that made them EXTREMELY paranoid? And can certain kinds make you more paranoid? And why was it so dense and sticky and brown? Is it just because its the bahamas? haha

i was reading that book about jim morrison 'no one gets out of here alive ' they said he took a holiday in jamaica and smoked some herb and got real paranoid and thought he was gunna die, i think they also said he didnt smoke any more during his trip ,

ive read before that outdoor bud doesnt look as good because the elements knock off trichromes, but because its out in the real sun and not grow lights, and its exposed to wind and stuff that it produces more resin inside the leaves and bud which makes it really strong.

And yeah jamaicas pretty lenient i guess although you could be arrested. All the locals had orange eyes. Like not even red just orange it was weird. And while i was blazin it in the bathroom i was standing in the shower sticking my head out the little window to exhale, and some random jamaican guy walking by sees and yells "you aint got to hide that here mon!"

One of the coolest memories i have of the trip though is riding a bus back to the resort at night. On the way we would pass through these rural villages that were pretty much like campsites but the people built huts out of scrap metal and stuff. Anyway passing through the villages you could see a bunch of huge cherries in the dark from the rastas hitting their spliffs. Like you could see it faintly floating there until hed take a drag, and all of a sudden it would get really bright and youd see like eyes and dreads around it for a second til it went dim again. They were big spliffs too the cherries were like an inch and a half across. Pretty cool scene.

Haha i miss being 17 and all stoked about getting stoned. When we landed and got into the jamaican airport i went to the bathroom and some rasta guy was standing at the urinal smoking a huge joint and i knew it was gonna be a great trip. There was also nugs all over the rooms like under the beds and all along the walls in the crack between the carpet and wall.

That's some of the coolest shit I've ever heard. I definitely have to make it out to Jamaica before I die.

Sativas are so much more of a recreational high than kush or afghani. I really try hard to convince my friends of this, check out these Neville's Haze buds that I grew recently. Took 16 weeks of flowering time but it was definitely worth it. Smells like exotic tropical fruits and it does the trick but real Jamaican, Caribbean or other bud would be so much better. It's a shame that jamaican growers have been switching to kush plants and purple indicas lately, ruining lots of pure strains out there with mass open pollination.

Seriously, I would rather be smoking colombian, jamaican, thai and other imported weed than ANY strain for sale at your average california medical pot club. Really, why can't some of those shops start selling imported bud which is still available just not as easily.

fudge this noise, the typical tourist bud from anywhere south of the boarder is garbage. cheap garbage, but garbage still. Been there, done that, Bahamas, mexico, Costa, Jamaica, Dominican, even Haiti... Hell, India, and Europe as well. Some good, but nothing like the dro up and around MMJ locals. Best run I've seen in my travels is from the netherland region and southern India where you can get some good opium nugget. Politely disagree with the quality of herb in most places. We got it good here in the US and the Netherlands has some of that fire... don't get me wrong, the best weed could come from bum fuck Cozumel, but generally speaking, that ain't the case.

There is good stuff everywhere, it is kind of a shame that some great genetics could be lost due to admixture with indica-dom. strains, but cannabis is a business and many folks depend on it to put food on the table...

Huh? While this can be true for some, some of the time, it's certainly not true for everyone, all of the time. Most people on this board probably don't have the choice between an indica and a sativa, and are lucky to get what the get. I'd bet more than half don't know what they are getting before they smoke it, all they know is that it's "headies" or "cryppie" or "dank" and they're happy to be smoking something better than schwag. For those of us able to pick and choose, it doesn't always hold fast and strong; I may want to smoke a Sour Diesel in the evening with friends, and one favorite is a Blueberry Skunk (or another blueberry dominant) after a long flight, to help relax.

No literly. Thats what Sativa and Indica translate too. Its how the acident people viewed these plants because of their charactoristics...

Medical pot, just like prohibition, has skewed the herb trade. Indica has the most diverse medical potencial and its ability to mimic a narcotic and dull pain is why its in. Yeild is a product of prohibition. If im growing for myself, why would i care how many pounds i get out of it...?

Well put, but yield is still a real factor (as is the legality of MJ and growing) and you're talking like it isn't. Unless you have unlimited funds or area dedicated to growing, yield will always be a factor.

I think it depends if you are growing for profit or for your own enjoyment.

If you are growing outside it doesn't necessarily cost you anything so yield may not be so important.

Also I've grown an indica dominant plant that didn't yield all that highly but it finished earlier, looked better and had a stronger stone than the more sativa like stuff.

That bud look almost exactly like the stuff I smoked, except mine was a little browner.

And as for the people there, they are incredibly friendly! Probably because every local was smoking joints. We saw employees on their break passing a blunt around
