brown weed?

I bought some weed off this guy, he's my friend's brother, and I know he grows his shit in his basement. He said it was potent, but personally I smoked some and didn't get high at all. I rolled a J this time, gonna smoke it soon as I get a moment and come down from something else.

My question is, it looked brown. It has brown hairs, with some green hairs, but mostly brown. What does this indicate? Bad growing? Non-potent weed?:p
 
gross dude. sorry, that sounds absolutely awful. could you not take a picture and post it on this thread? that would make it so much easier and more fun to diagnose.

anyway...when i've gotten weed that was brown, i paid almost nothing for it. i called it dirt. it tasted like dirt, smelled like dirt, and got me just as high as smoking dirt would have. unless this is some super-funk i've never heard of or experienced, i'd probably just throw the shit out and start with a fresh new bag.

how much do you have? u could cook with it...
 
some weed that's brown is okay .. i mean, mexican brick weed looks brownish sometimes and that shit'll still get you high for the $

I once bought a gram off some kid for 5 bucks and it didn't even look like weed, it was just a bunch of brown shit, like some old dirty weed. I smoked a big ass joint of it and didn't even get high. Then I vaped some and barely anything came off of it. So I waterfalled the rest, and I wasn't high, pissed me off lol.
