brown degraded 4-ACO-DMT turned back to powder

I just had an interesting thing happen to my 4-aco-dmt and I thought I'd share it. I got a batch of off-white 4-aco-dmt fumarate about two months ago. This batch was a powder not a gritty sand like my previous batch that lasted for almost a year without any degradation. I have a feeling that my vendor might have lied and actually sold me freebase. Anyway, it was stored at room temperature and within the course of two months turned to a dark brown goo. I read that the goo should still be active, but it smelled like rubber cement and was too hard to weigh so I decided not to try it. I put it in my pocket intending to throw it away and forgot about it. Two days later, I took it out and the goo turned light tan color and there was some tan powder at the bottom of the bag. So I decided intentionally to leave it in my pocket for a few more days. After about five days it all turned back to a light tan powder. I opened the bag and it still smelled a little like plastic, but not nearly as bad as before. I tested the substance and it was just as good as when I first got it. In fact, it was actually a little better because the come-up was shorter and I did notice more CEVs than before. My suspicion is that it just turned back to 4-ho-dmt.

Anyway, I thought I share that incase someone has some degraded 4-aco that they want in powder form again.

I also had 4-aco-dmt from the usual vendor i would get from and this time if was brown clumpy stuff and stung the back of your throat with the drip after insufflating. It was sold as fumurate as before it has always been fumurate and an off white colour. The quality of it wasnt no where near as potent as the previous stuff. Other people i know have also been receiving this brown form of 4-aco-dmt now from other places. Is there still good off white stuff around or do you think this is all that is being made atm

Likely this was just a result of humidity and temperature changes. Hydroscopic drug absorbs water from the air; 4-sub-T's degrade rapidly when exposed to air and moisture. Then you changed how you stored it and the water evaporated, and now it's dry again - and partially degraded. If you'd stored it correctly (ie, in an airtight container) in the first place, you probably wouldn't have had this problem.

just recieved the same brown clumpy 4-aco-dmt fumarate. Am i not mistaken in thinking the fumarate is more stable than the freebase?

Lol what happened to the quality of 4-aco-dmt? I've never heard of receiving brown clumpy, etc 4-aco-dmt. not even psilocin I've gotten was like that partially degraded.

somehow the feasibility of storing a degraded chem in your pocket to de-degrade it sounds very questionable. youre just exposing it to more warm temps/friction/moisture likely.

Yes I just received 4-aco-dmt today it is brown/dark clumpy sticky nothing like last batch from same vendor in CA.
