Hello everyone. If you enjoy Terence Mckenna as much as I do, then you might be interested in this opportunity if you haven't heard of it already. Terence's brother, Dennis Mckenna, is on the verge of writing a book about their 50 year journey together 'into the abyss'. I have backed the booking as well and here is the site if you are interested at all:

There's almost enough backers for the project to start, I hope this goes through! Thanks.

I'm not sure if I understand what Dennis Mckenna is trying to do here. It looks like he has an idea for a book and for whatever reason can't get financial backing or any kind of advance from a publisher. As an alternative, he is seeking funding through that website in hopes of getting support from fans of his famous brother. Now if he were to return a share of the profits provided the book is successful, I might be interested. Better yet, he should advertise through the official bluelight advertisement channels in the form of a banner. That way bluelight earns some much needed advertisemetn revenue. But this really sounds like a money making scheme from somebody tryign to cash in on a name.

Well, I donated $35 and it comes with an autographed hard copy of the book. The autograph doesn't mean much to me, but every backer above the $20 level will get a hard copy of the book before it hits bookshelves and bookstores. I think any member of the 'psychedelic community' greatly appreciated Terence and his Brother Dennis' work, they both worked on some very nice books in the past and more importantly the ideas presented by Terence has definitely helped shape me in life for the better. I don't see much room for profit here on Dennis' part assuming there's 800 backers all expecting atleast one copy of the book.

I'm just throwing this out on the forums that I visit a lot(bluelight and shroomery) because I know there are others like myself who would love a book on the personal life of Dennis and Terence... I don't see much harm in promoting it? Though I bet if you were to contact Dennis there could definitely be some official broadcasting through bluelight, i'm not in charge of that though? peace.
