How is it irrelevant? If its true and Palin had her way what her daughter did, which we all agree is very little, could posibly get her locked up in jail.

Because stories like this perpetuate the celebrity status of our politicians. The result is the vast majority of the public end up focusing on all the mud-slinging that goes on during the campaigns and make decisions based on their emotions and prejudices. Sarah Palin (as much as I despise her) has very little control over what her teenage daugher does, and shouldnt be asked to change her opinion on things because of something out of her control.

Plus the source is a tabloid, the epitome of unreliable news.
 
^What her daughter does may be somewhat out of her control but it should not be out of her consideration when making laws that turn recreational drug users into criminals.
On the matter of this being mud slinging I agree but this is far from an ideal election and if it was even close to being one we probly wouldnt even know the name Sarah Palin.
 
I think it’s very important to stick to the issues in big political elections. Politicians should not be asked to change their views based on personal matters that have nothing to do with their policy. News like this is a distraction, and takes away focus from the real problems with Palin as a candidate.

She has no foreign policy experience
She is pro-life
She doesn’t support gay rights
She smoked pot and supports criminalizing of non-violent drug offenders
She is married to a secessionist and supports Alaskan secession
She bends to pressure and supports federal pork barrel spending, then blatantly lies about it

There is plenty of ammunition against Palin and no need to take cheap shots at her daughter. Making bogus character attacks like this makes her supporters able to play the "You're just smearing her character" card when her ineptitude on the real issues comes up.

ACORN is a diversion. Look at the states they're most active in. Do they look like states that are even remotely in play at this point? I'm pretty sure pollsters aren't calling the homeless or the people who don't exist.

What happened with ACORN and the furor over it is a joke. They hired a bunch of lazy assholes and gave them quotas. They did what all lazy assholes with little supervision would do: get out a phone book, and start filling them out themselves.

Get all bent out of shape and cry all day, nothing is going to come of this because nothing happened but an organization grew to fast, didn't take safety precautions, and now a bunch of their hirees are going to prison for a long time.
 
I do not want a tax and spend, pro-choice, pro-gay rights, tax raising candidate with the second most liberal voting record in the senate. Nor do I want to see Rev. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all those characters in the White House either. They and those like them are going to have way too much influence on American policy. It's simply not in my best interest. And I was so disappointed to hear Colin Powell's support for brotha Obama this morning. I had so much respect for Powell and it just really twists the knife in deeper. This country is going to be in big trouble.
Any US company who does business with a country that harbors terrorists and supplys terrorists with technology to make weapons against US troops should not be supported. How is that erroneous? Sanctions placed against countries often hurt the innocent populations of those countries. That's the point. It is the trump card.
Also, I do not pretend to be racist. Come on down to Georgia, skinny white boy. See how you are treated. Try having to still have forced busing where I was taken to an inner-city high school and constantly threatened and harassed by blacks every day. I developed a severe anxiety disorder and still have scars, physically and emotionally from the treatment I received from THEM. And I'm female. Gang fights and guns found at school. Teachers who cant speak proper English were teaching the English classes. My cousin was raped by a black man. You call me what you like, things like "redneck" and "racist". Yeah, adding insult to injury, an Obama victory will feel even worse than the OJ verdict in the murder trial. You'll see THEM rioting in the streets of America, either way the election turns out. I believe I have a right to any opinion, no matter how much people may protest it. And believe me, many, many people share the exact opinion I have on these issues but are too afraid to even admit it. I don't care what gays do in the privacy of their own home, they just shouldn't tarnish the sanctity of marriage. None of you have walked one mile in my shoes so don't judge any of my motives or my beliefs. However, I certainly do not condone the horrible things that were perpetrated against blacks in the 50's-60's. I just don't like the culture. A culture that has perpetrated mainstream American since the mid 90's with hiphop music, clothing and accessories. The kids the Obama is cool and they won't vote for the man who gave everything up for his country. And every Republican that runs for president (or vice in this year's case) is portrayed as the "idiot". President Bush is NOT an idiot, neither was Dan Quayle, Ronald Reagan or Gerald Ford. Same shit, different year. Now the White House looks like it will be officially renamed as the Traphouse. Trust me, Sen. John McCain would "NOT approve this message."

Have you heard Ahmedinejad's speeches? Now, I know the people in his country do not share the same radical politics and do not support Ahmedinejad, but he harbors and encourages terrorism around the world, including Israel. Any idiot knows that. The have nuclear power, but we really don't know to what extent and the rockets he said that could reach Israel were a failure, so they are not an immediate threat to the US, except with their dealings with terrorist organizations in and around Iraq.

Ain't it a joke, KStoner? A fuckin' joke. Listen, I do drugs and I am by no means a good person because of it. In fact, it ruined my life (although I do have mental health issues such as social anxiety and depression) and I wouldn't EVER recommend ANYONE do the things that I have done. I'm not proud. I come on this website and converse with people who have a similar interest in drugs and pharmacology who haveamazing knowledge, but can't separate that from their political views. Just like their heroes or favorite musicians. Hell, I love 90's British rock, esp. Oasis, but would I necessarily have to share in their political stances? Well, we're few and far between on this site. You cannot be diplomatic with countries who want nothing else than to destroy you. Terrorists will see Obama's election as a huuuge advantage for them; anyone who denies knows they're only fooling themselves. I'm not going to dive into every issue of the election because I'd be here all day. However, it's just funny how most posters on this forum sound like almost every media outlet you recieve info from...one-sided. What really pisses me off, is that I heard soooo much bullshit about how we can't have a cokehead president, concerning G W Bush. How that was a HUGE character flaw that should not be tolerated. Oh, but with this "messiah" Obama, that dosen't matter soo much anymore??? Somebody please explain why??
