I didnt want to get into a massive argument with people about what they should call their drugs, i was merely pointing out that there are many names for drugs, that just cos one person says 'call it by its proper name' that we should have to. I agree in regards to GHB and 14B. but i was talking about calling GHB, GBH. i thought its pretty obvious that if i said GBH, i meant GHB.
"...and another way to look at it, drugs and drug taking are a science, and should be treated in that way. That includes finding as much out about the particular drugs as possible (including the correct name and using it)."
-sorry samadhi, i havent learnt the technique of putting quotes up properly-
Good point here, i'm glad i stumbled onto bluelight one day cos i've found out a hell of a lot more about what i do to myself, from this site.
So thank you to the person that created this site.

i think it is also worth considering that one good reason for not calling GHB "GBH" is that it is a negative, perjorative term, just as "smacky" is not only innaccurate it also gives negative associations.

sorry.. i wasnt trying to start an argument either, my thinking is along the same lines as johnboy's.
but....
do you ask people to write pseudoephedrine or amphetimine when talking about speed!
i call speed, meth coz thats what it is... but when i talk about meth amphetamine, i dont call it amphetamine meth.
side note: pseudoephedrine isnt speed, it is used to make methamphetamine)
This is SUPPOSED to be a harm reduction site
which means education...
