Just a quick question. I'm experienced with both xanax and alcohol pretty extensively, but I took a bit more xanax then I usually would, and I'm just checking on my health. I'm functional (can walk around, albeit difficult to find the motivation), my heart rate is around 75 BPM, but my breathing is a bit low, around 9-10 breaths per minute while relaxing in bed ready to sleep. I'm just a bit worried about it dropping any lower ( I think all the drugs are into my system by now). Does this breathing rate sound ok or should I try to stay up for a bit longer? Tyvm

Here's a tip, as a guy who has taken more Xanax per day than anyone I've met in person, if you are having to count your breath, you are taking too much xanax. Welcome to the world's shittiest commonplace drug.

Are you ok now?

I once overdosed on xanax and dihydrocodeine, I wasn't a regular user, which also slowed my breath rate in a scary way. I found out that walking to the hospital and the panic attack helped sustaining my breath rate though. The doctors where actually quite friendly, so don't worry about a visit. Better a couple of times to much, than once to late.

I turned out to be ok. Thank you all for the advice. I'm currently working on reigning in my drug usage, especially considering how often I drink with them.

how much did you take (and how's your tolerance?)
75 bpm seems regular to me, you shouldn't worry as long as you didn't take too great doses

My tolerance is hard to gauge exactly. I had taken 4-5mg (some was estimated as powder, thankfully I was smart enough to do this estimating only at the beginning while I was still sober) and drank 6-9 shots. As a reference for tolerance, I wasn't blacked out. My memory of the night is actually pretty good, but my breathing just seemed a bit low and strained at the time, so I was worried.
