I've been with my girlfriend, J for 7 years and we broke up a week ago after my latest crack, H, and alcohol binge. I'm a Pisces, she's a Cancer and we get along greatly when I'm not using but those days are few and far between. I left Chicago to return to my home state of Texas, living in a rural setting, few opportunities to drink or get high(I usually just smoke weed) and I'm going stir crazy. I'm close to making D.I.Y. alcohol out of fermented fruit...
My using and bisexuality have been the main reasons we broke up. I cheated once 4 years ago and that was enough to seriously sour our relationship, not to mention the DXM use/addiction that has gotten me in a lot of trouble over the years. I haven't dated since I was about 20 years old, I'm now 27. I miss Chicago soooo much as well as my ex.
Chicago had everything I ever wanted, and I left the excitement, my ex, and my dog behind. I'm considering an intensive outpatient rehab since I've done intensive inpatient before, besides the fact that I'm unable to afford anything at the time since I'm not working. I don't usually post new threads but I really need some/any advice from addicts or other folks who have been in a similar situation. Trying to get clean has been mostly unsuccessful, I end up using poppy seed tea which is my usual opiate fix, but it's better than heroin, cheaper too. Sorry for rambling...I'm a bit distraught.
