^That is not true. The pill itself gels up upon contact with water, even if the coating is removed. Opiophile.org has a good tek on there if you look under their Morphine section. People swear by it. Something about powdering the pill, adding water, cooking in the spoon, then immediately adding 20 units of very cold water before it gels and pushing the film/gel that forms to the side and using the liquid product that remains.
When I used to use the higher dose mscontins, I would just be very quick about it and get what I could into the rig and eat the rest, therefore increasing the duration.
Alternatively, you can just put slightly over 1cc of water into a shot glass and let the pill sit in there for several hours. The pill will turn into a ball of jelly, and most of the product will be in the water. This also works for the OP oxycontins.
Unfortunately, there is no safe way to inject these time release pills, yet some harm can be removed by not trying to inject the entire formulation.
