Television Breaking Bad

" We thought about it, but the thing about Jesse — and it’s interesting, we have so much empathy for him — but sometimes we would step back in the writers’ room and talk about what this guy has really done. If he were a real person in our lives, what would we think of him? And the truth is, Jesse has done terrible, terrible things. He’s helped terrible, terrible things to happen. He could’ve stopped Walt after the child was shot. He could’ve stopped the whole thing. He could’ve gone to the police. What he ended up doing at the end of this season, he could’ve done that earlier, and think of all the death and destruction that would’ve been stopped. So I think to us, in one way, we love Jesse and we want good things to happen for him, but in a lot of ways, he’s created the situation himself."

Well that's a bullshit stance by him. None of those things that Jesse did were terrible.

Jesse did nothing but bring to market a purer version of a product that people would've bought anyway.

Unless they're talking about Gale. But Gale was in the game.

No, the only terrible thing Jesse did was betray Walter White. But I'm over that. I'm glad he got away.

fuck me what a series. masterpiece. loved the ending. although when the camera panned out the song felt wrong, they should have played something like this

Nah, the perfect song to end the series would have been Black by Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi.

sigh.

I always thought the video that just had season 1-4 was better. That one was cool but it seemed like the extra scenes were tacked on a bit. I love those videos though. I watched the first one with seasons 1-4 at least a dozen times.

I hope the dude makes another video now that season 5 is complete. The editing and the way it was put together were done spectacularly well.

I was willing the clock to slow down half way through the episode, wishing there was more time left but yes very happy with how it finished.

Except for Walt finding the keys to the unlocked Volvo in the visor! That always bothers me in any films/tv shows lol. But it was pretty cool the Narcotics Anonymous key ring was attached to them.

Saw this earlier...
"Breaking Bad was 62 episodes. The 62nd element on the periodic table is Samarium which is used to treat lung cancer. Every little detail."

I thought it was cool how well the M60 worked. It ripped through the car, through the concrete wall of the building and tore into the opposite wall in the game room an set the trunk of the car on fire. As well as the tracers the poster pointed out. Nice visual touch. And Walt didn't die, new show is Bad Breaks, lol.

It's kind of funny that "Uncle Jack" was so adamant about proving he wasn't a liar. He's a stone cold murderer who stole Walt's money and lured him there to kill him, but how dare Walt suggest that he wasn't being completely up-front about Jesse. It's just funny, how everyone is this series despite everything they've done, still has to convince themselves that they're actually still honest, decent people. I guess Jesse really didn't do that much compared to Walt or the Nazis, but that scene where he gets that Mexican chick to take the bag of meth as payment for gas was pretty sinister.

Hey I just thought of something. Did anybody else love it when Walt popped uncle Jack in the head midway through his sentence when he was trying to tell Walt he shouldn't kill him cause then he would never get his money? Man that was so fucking gratifying. Lol. Again, kudos to Vince Gilligan and the other writers on this show, nicely done.

Since Walter was planning on being dead the next day anyway, he should have made Gretchen and Elliott have a three way with him on the pile of money as a gesture of good faith that the 10 million would go to Flynn on his 18th birthday....

^He said it feels like "action daggers" I believe, lol.

I thinking today about how Walt really had amazing luck constantly throughout the series. So much could have gone wrong with his plan. The nazi that drove in with him to the compound could have insisted Walt park in the spot where he told him, and noticed something was fishy about Walt insisting he park right in front of the building. The guy that took his keys could have just left them in his pocket instead of placing them on the pool table Walt was sitting on just a few feet away from him. Going back, Walt probably wouldn't have come to the spot Jesse was about to shoot out with Gus's dealers at just the right moment (the death of the kid had been on TV all day). And that shard of explosive fake meth he threw on the ground could have triggered the larger bag to explode (it was enough to send air conditioners flying from the windows and shatter glass.) Or Tuco could have sampled the meth as he did every other time he got a bag and realized that it fake. I could go on, but I guess there is no point. Like you said bluehues, it really is a fantasy world with realistic characters, I just didn't notice how unrealistic it was often times the first time around because the intensity of the show kind of blinded me.

I'v been re watching the series, and this time around I really enjoyed "The Fly" episode, since it wasn't like the only dose of breaking bad that I knew I was going to get for the week, so there was no reason for the lack of action to bother me. He says some pretty revealing stuff, like when he wishes he died at the right point when he had made enough money but before skylar found out about his cooking.

Lol. Not sure I would've wanted to see that, now Lydia however. :)

And then the unspoken goodbye between Walt and Jesse when they gave the nod to eachother. That was great.

Actually imagine this song at the end scene of the last episode, but with different lyrics. that woulda been fucking amazing
