Television Breaking Bad

So I was interested and I went back and watched the beginning of the first episode of this season where Walt goes into retrieve the ricin capsule from his house and although the place is abnormally blighted for a single year of abandonment, it doesn't appear to have suffered significant burn damage as per the ignition of a dousing of gasoline. My theory is that Walt shows up in time with his gun and there is a sort of standoff between the two where Walt finally comes clean to Jesse as to the previously unspoken crimes he has committed. For the first time he will drop the concerned and paternal attitude while explaining to Jesse that he finally has no other choice but to kill him. Then, well, he either kills him (bye Jesse) or there is a twist in the plot which allows Jesse to escape the situation and realize that the only way to redeem full judgement would be to speak to the DEA about their full criminal history.

But for what it is worth I would genuinely not wager a dollar on my own prediction.

Side note: Is anyone else wondering what is the point of this elaborate yet completely undeveloped auxiliary plot about the Czech Rebublic and Lydia and Todd and his gang of scarecrow foot soldiers? I feel like these episodes, including the ones from last year, should be narrowing down the plot to the confrontations we are finally seeing in the majority of the new season. It's almost like if they shadowed the fourth season of Walt's culminating and tense fandango with Gustavo Fring alongside a subplot about Hank collecting minerals and Marie stealing spoons. No but really that plot needs to get the fuck in or get the fuck out. Five or so episodes remaining means they should be chiseling this thing into a pointed hoopla involving a large gun.

Dude, I've dropped some gems in here in the past. Personally, I'm waiting until the series is over to resurrect them all at once.

Sorry, I need constant positive affirmation. If I am not being reminded that I'm the smartest, best looking motherfucker in the room at all times, I feel empty inside.

So, I guess we now know how Walt's house got trashed. Hopefully Walt Jr. isn't in the house taking a nap or something.

I question the need for concise storytelling because there are still over 220 minutes of programming remaining. That's a lot of time.

But the Czech angle may forebode Chile seeking to avenge the murder of one of its citizens and likely agents, Gustavo Fring. Lydia is certainly in the pocket of then Czech president Václav Klaus. Also in the pocket of then Czech president Václav Klaus is this Chilean pen:

It is not at all implausible that Walt is seeking asylum in Prague and ingratiating himself to Czech authorities by preparing to square off against Chilean special forces. Or something.

You have to remember that 190 of those minutes will be devoted to close up shots of facial expressions. That leaves a sobering half hour to develop and resolve the pen connection. That is unless they plan on extending season five into season seven...

My thought is that it gives Walt a "see, I told you it wasnt me" way out of the whole thing. IF Todd gets the quality back up to 90%+ though.

I don't know if this is just coincidence or if there was some sort of significance to this, but Gale Boetticher lived at 6353 Juan Tabo Blvd.

In the last episode Jesse was to meet the mover specialist on the corner of Juan Tabo and Osuna. Looking through google maps these two locations are less than 4 miles apart. It says it takes about 9 minutes by car. I haven't yet thought about what this could possibly suggest or if there's any connection to the fact that Juan Tabo was mentioned again at another extremely critical part in Walt/Jesse's relationship and in their lives.

What, no credit for (halfway, yeah yeah it was Brock instead of Jane) calling this?

Man, fuck you guys.

Not to be a dick, but as you mention you guessed the wrong person and there were only two to guess from. Also from the wording in your post it made it sound like Walt was going to be the one who told Jesse about either Brock or Jane, not that Jesse would figure it out on his own. It was solid hypothesizing, but you still missed the mark.

You were clearly on the right track though, so maybe you'll be able to correctly guess the ending.

So after this last episode does anyone think that Uncle Jack (Todd's uncle) and his gang are the ones that trash Walt's house and spray the "Heisenberg" name on the wall? Maybe Todd wasn't doing that well with the meth manufacturing and Walt was refusing to go back and help at all.

The last episode was absolutely great. I thought the confessional tape that Walt made was genius! After barely doing anything the last episodes there was great acting by Jesse, particularly the scene in the desert with Walt and Saul was top notch. During Walt's confessional, the part where Walt mentions building the bomb that Hector Salamanca used to kill Gus Fring, there were extreme close ups of Walt and Hank. Was wondering if that bit of information was going to come back and bite Walt somehow. Maybe there was something he used in the bomb or something related to the bombing that Hank could use as evidence against Walt.

If you were an outsider looking in, after hearing Walt's confessional, it would be difficult to believe what was real and what was fake; who was the villain and who was the patsy.

There were a few posts discussing the significance of the diner scene. I found it a bit ironic that Todd left out the part about killing the kid and then when the guys were in the bathroom one of them mentioned how he wants to slap any kid he sees wearing a bike helmet. Slap him for his own good. The kid that Todd shot was wearing a helmet when he was riding his dirt bike. I just thought that was kind of funny that the guy had said that.

I'm still confused about the whole final scene with Jesse realizing about the poisoning of Brock. How does he know Walt did it, and what other relevant information was I supposed to have gotten from that scene?

I think that the "Heisenberg" tag on the wall was more likely to have been spray-painted by the 'punk kids' that were skateboarding in the empty pool. That would mean that the police department knows everything now.

In that scene from the future the neighbor is shocked to see Walt return to the house, so that either confirms my suspicions about the police knowing and then announcing everything about Walts operation, or perhaps they all think that Walt has died from his cancer so the neighbor was shocked to see him alive.

^I missed it the first time, but if you watch the scene closely where Jesse, Huell and Saul are in Saul's office right before they drop Jesse off to go "start a new life", Huell sneaks the bag of weed out of Jesse's pocket as he's walking out the door, the bag that Saul tells him to hand over. When Jesse is standing by the side of the road waiting for the guy to come pick him up, he realizes that the weed is missing. He puts two and two together and realizes Huell lifted it from him and at the same time realizes that this is what may have happened with the cigarette with the ricin. Of course, at that point I don't think he knows for sure, but when he goes and confronts Saul and beats the fuck out of him, Saul confesses and there you go!

I just hope there is a point where walt is all twacked out on his own product and we get to watch him mowing down cops and enemies at 500rd per minute with that m60 :)

Haha, now that would be a good ending. Walt is surrounded by cops, no way out, he'd rather die then go to prison, so he snorts up a shit load of his meth and battles it out on the streets of New Mexico, total grand theft auto style.

To add to that, when Jesse was accusing Walt of poisoning Brock in season 4, Jesse actually correctly guesses that Huell lifted the pack when he was patted down at Saul's office. Remembering that earlier incident and then this week having the weed get lifted Jesse realized that Walt had been playing him for a long time now, not just recently.

Like you said, you can definitely see Huell making the lift and pocketing the bag as Jesse leaves. He also gives Saul this look like, "It's cool, I grabbed it".

Yea when jesse is walking to the door heull kinda bumps him and you can see his hand go to his pocket and he says to jesse uh excuse me kind of like get the fuck out of my way.

All of this could have been prevented if Jesse gained back some of his snark and said "what for ? you and your deformed head?" Probably wouldn't have had the time / physical configuration for the stealing of the weed.

Seriously that guy's head is weird :?

I really wanted Jesse to go to Alaska with all that money that he still got out of nowhere like the previous one he worked for and tossed outside like a moron and to just disappear....he doesn't understand the luck he had and how many people would have been envious of his situation by now.

Yeah for real. That is really annoying. You can't take back what you did moron, what's done is done.. so now, you're just a poor bad guy instead of a rich bad guy...

Nice one..
