For a while now I get a burning electrical discharge starting in the brain and often propagating downward through the body, causing disorientation and in rare cases momentary blackouts. I attributed this initially to serotonin depletion following heavy drug use however, use of SSRIs and 5-HTP (together or independently) actually makes the problem much worse. Is my brain is actually over reacting by producing even less serotonin in response to SSRIs?

Symptoms become worse 2-3 days after taking MDxx/etc. Symptoms continue on after 3 days, but are not so bad. I spoke to someone a few weeks ago who recommended using SSRIs and suggested serotonin depletion as a possible explanation, which makes sense if it weren't for the fact that serotonin boosting drugs make the problem worse. I think I should do an LSD thumbprint to cure it, but I can't seem to get anyone to agree with me.

Does anyone have any ideas what this is / what causes this / what a possible treatment might be?

I'm going to say that it has something to do with serotonin levels.

Have you considered serotonin syndrome, which is caused when the brain makes too much serotonin? Serotonin syndrome can be fatal- in some instances it can cause comas/death. Keep in mind 5-HTP increases serotonin levels, along with SSRIs. This may be too much for your body to handle. MDxx drugs also raise serotonin levels in the brain.

From my personal experience serotonin depletion or lack of serotonin will not cause blackouts. Lack of serotonin can cause depression, anxiety, and the signs/symptoms associated with each condition.

If you're experiencing blackouts, I really so urge you to seek medical care. We do not know your medical history and there may be something else causing your blackouts unrelated to serotonin. This is something that certainly needs to be addressed with your physician who is prescribing you the SSRIs. Honesty and openness will be the best route to go about this because it is your health that is at stake.

Use caution if you decide to take LSD. If you're taking the serotonin enhancing drugs to improve depression this may lead to a negative experience while taking LSD if you're in a depressed or anxious state of mind.

I personally have never experienced these kind of effects from 5-apb, 6-apb and 5-mapb. However from what I can gather from online reports it does happen to people, especially if they use them several days in a row. For most of the affected people these shocks stopped occurring eventually.
