Opioids Booting Opana Without A Cotton

So everyone I know in my town who shoots opana IR's do so without using a cotton, claiming "it's the only pill you can do it with". I try and tell them again and again that all sorts of pill binders and nasties are gonna get in your shot if you draw up without a cotton but they claim otherwise, with fears of losing some of the opiate with the use of a cotton. Am I the dumb one here by using cottons? Anyone else boot opanas without cottons? I think its crazy to draw up any shot without some sort of filter.
 
You are certainly not the dumb one - no pills should be injected without filtration (preferably micron, but cotton is a lot better than nothing).

Opioids are readily water soluble so you are not going to be losing an appreciable amount in cottons but you are seriously putting yourself at risk by not filtering them. your friends are idiots ;)

Don't listen to them, keep filtering and encourage them to do the same (again, please look in to micron filters, especially if you shoot pills frequently).
 
Thats what I thought. Yeah I have no clue why they seem to think it's "okay" to shoot up opana without a cotton but nothing else. And I've been wanting to get a micron filter but I don't know where to acquire one. Do exchanges typically have these or is this something I'd have to order online ?
 
Using a cotton will not reduce the amount of oxymorphone that gets into your solution.

Ideally you should be using a micron filter after using a cotton to pre-filter, as this is the only way to remove most of the inactive ingredients in the tablet you don't want in your shot.

Wow, I would not shoot anything, ever, without filtering, especially pills! It's amazes me to hear these kind of things.
 
these are IR pills right?wouldn't they be chalky or have talk like a dilaudid or an MS IR?how do they get it in the needle without it clogging?these people are sure to have some serious health problems in the future (and this is coming from a guy who boots MS Contin daily)
 
If you pre wet and then do a air purge of a wheel filter if you do get your hands on one you will get most of the drug out (like 98% or something)
 
Someone needs to give your friends a quick lecture on what happens with long term use of IV'ing pills without filtering. Your friend's are 100% WRONG. Don't listen to them, please.
