Bob Marley Mellow Mood Tea (valerian root extract)

So I grabbed this from the store the other night and coincidentally I had taken a 2mg bar of alprazolam (xanax). I got the drink because I thought it was cool that Bob Marley was on it but didnt expect it to actually have an effect.

Just so you guys know there is an interaction between Valerian and Benzos, because they both work on GABA.

So, next think I know im zoning in and out of a blackout state, lol. I wasn't bored, actually I was watching the most ultimate battle, of my favorite show.

My buddy keeps clapping and waking me up lol. I try so intently to focus on the show, but low and below things slowly go fuzzy and out I went again. I would compare the Marley Tea to drinking 2-3 beers, in terms of interaction with xanax.



Warning: This could have been potentially fatal if also taking painkillers... since these drugs potentiate eachother, there is increased risk of overdose. Don't do it.


TL;DR: Careful with Benzos and Marley Tea, they interact.

I've had the Marley tea before. It tastes good and yes has good ingredients in it. Valerian is in there, but there are a few other active ingredients. Those active ingredients are probably in pretty low dosages. Now I'm not saying there is no effect. I've had the stuff and relaxed from it, I just don't think it's that strong. I've mixed it with clonazepam and didn't think it did anything.
I personally think it's a stretch to compare it to 2-3 beers combined w/Xanax. It just isn't that strong of a tea.
