Edit: and ocean, i like the pic, lil blury, or is that just 2 over sized microbes?

deaf_eye deleted his post. I was directing him comment at him, not you.

^ I dunno if scanning is against the rules... I mean, it's like taking a picture, and it physically has a white background.

I dunno though

Yeah deaf eye, I don't think we can count your picture this week man.
a) it's got the white background which is technically a border, and
b) if it's a scan of a picture it's not actually a photo, as such.

Have you got another photo you could post this week instead?

So I actually have another question. This is my stills/video camera and I took this as a freeze-frame from my video. Is that acceptable since it's still my work?

^^ Hmmm good question...still frame from a video camera...I'll get back to you on that Kiwi :)

Just as a side note, I do stills with the same camera, so if absolutely necessary, I could get the same shot again.

Nice Kiwi, that makes me think of when I was a kid and the look my dead gold fish gave me when I flushed the toilet!

Hey yeah, that'd be great if you could Kiwi!! Technically a still frame from a video isn't really a photo so if you can get an actual photo that'd be awesome :)

It takes more skill to capture a single frame with a camera, as opposed to a video camera. With the video camera, you can film the whole "scenario" then pick the frame that captures the object/action in clear detail the best. With a camera, you have to get it just right, taking the photo at the very second the object/action occurs.

It's much harder, thus more skillful, for someone to take the photo instead of filming it and isolating a single frame out of hundreds of possible frames. I don't mean to bash on people who use video cameras this way, I'm just pointing out the difference between video vs. photo.
