thanks, 1234. it's a tunnel in yosemite that was dug straight through the granite. no support beams inside either. i was driving down the center of the road when i took the picture, steering with my knees, with both hands on the camera. there was a very clear vantage point down the road so that i could see no one was coming the other way.

Wow, that's great. Nice to get the story behind the picture too.
